Surviving the Wastelands with a handful of others, Helios came across Leshau while traveling. Having witnessed the fire in the other's eyes as he scuffled with a bandit over some scraps of rotten meat, Helios decided to help the frail runt out.

Over time Leshau began to slowly fill out his rail thin body, growing stronger and more healthy, pleasing Helios to the extent that he never wanted to see him go without food again. He spoiled the other, letting Leshau spend coin on lavish furs and jewelry. He was completely enamored, watching with careful eyes as Leshau flourished under his care.

Eventually, Leshau grew mouthy and challenged Helios' authority among others, though it only served to grow the unresolved tension between the two so much so that at one point it made Helios snap, grabbing the other's face harshly and shutting him up with a biting kiss.
