When some juvenile calamity happens in town, Alverton's residents turn their accusing eyes to Darcy; and, usually, they're right. Desperate for any and all kinds of attention, Darcy has been causing mayhem in town since he was a boy, and with a holding cell being practically his second home, there's no sign of stopping any time soon. His stunts range from the simple stink bomb, to more involved spectacles like turning every traffic light a steady yellow, but his 'crowning' achievement so far (in his opinion) was painting the cliff face overlooking the sea with a "Mayor Green huffs farts, Darcy was here".

Not having a job or any work ethic at all, really, Darcy's taken up permanent residence on the couch of the town's mechanic, and his partner in crime, Bill. The two are the best of friends, but a terrible combination; the gullible guardian's skills being used for Darcy's more elaborate escapades. The Alverton police force in joint with the civic centre have had to re-write or make completely new laws after his shenanigans; the spiral has carved a name for himself in the town's history, whether anyone else likes it or not.
