From a young age, Veritas has felt the weight of expectation. Recognizing his powerful latent magic, several clan dragons pressed him to rise up into a position of leadership, while at the same time others fought to suppress his power. Overwhelmed by the pressure, Veritas hit his breaking point, his explosive meltdown paired with a calamitous burst of magic that caused fissures to spring up all across the clan territory.

As he matured, Veritas learned to rein in his power somewhat. He played a key role in erecting the archetecture in the newly established Brightwing Territory. And when the former headmaster of the Academy of Magi rebelled, the Brightwing Council appointed Veritas and his brother Hieroglyph as new Headmasters.

But he remains a loose cannon whose temper and immense power are only held in check by a thin veil...
