Biography

While not well known to most everyone in the Caravan knows of the Rabbit’s Foot. The Rabbit’s Foot is a tavern located within the Tale itself and only services members of the clan. Run by the esoteric Chimera it feels right at home in a clan that had no home but the ships on which they sail. Chimera owns and runs the Rabbit’s Foot as the barkeep and she stocks everything and anything one could desire. From sharp and bright starshine from deep in the Tangled Wood, crystal clear crystal liynn of the Snowfields or Fairy Water from the Ruins Chimera can cater to every taste. Liquor not quite to your taste Chimera can help there too. Looking for rainbowpede from the Steppe, diamond dust from Dragonhome or venomula from the Isles? Yeah, she’s got that for your pipe. Or maybe you want a delicacy from your old home before you joined the Caravan? If Chimera doesn’t have it, she will. Awamala from the Tsunami Flats, sorchids from the deepest parts of the Shrieking Wilds, rayfish from the coast of the far shores of the Ashfall Wastes? Not only does Chimera have it but she’s more than happy to have it cooked up for you. No one’s quite sure how Chimera comes across all her many items but few complain of it. The popular rumor is that she’s got an in with the Whistle Reeds who go out and get her all manner of things through ill gotten ways. Or maybe she’s got good relations with the Matriarch. No one’s ever seen her leave the Rabbit’s Foot either. She’s always back there, behind her bar, with a cheerful greeting and adoring smile asking if you’ll have your usual again. Strange and wonderful things just end up at the Rabbit’s Foot for the benefit of her entire clan and the only payment she asks for in return is a good story you might have heard because to a fault Chimera is a Wind dragon and stories are as good as currency. When not servicing patrons at her bar Chimera enjoys spending time with her Bucktooth Digger named Douglas. Douglas is… less fond of Chimera, merely tolerating her. The only time she’ll leave the Rabbit’s Foot is to visit friends, of which she has many and wherever she goes someone will call out her name to speak with her or ask how she is or if she got a new shipment of special food, drug, or alcohol. The alcohol especially has become very popular with the growing number of humi shifters in the Caravan who find it easier to get totally destroyed on booze than the meticulous process sometimes required to get high. Chimera is always happy to stop and chat or answer questions before moving on. One of her close friends is the mad hatter Willow and that is the one blemish on her otherwise perfect reputation. Willow worries others, and he’s weird. But Chimera is equally as weird and always knows what her clan mates are looking for even if they don’t always know themselves. Sometimes it’s just as good to just walk into the Rabbit’s Foot with no idea as to what you want and just let Chimera figure out for you. Probably more fun that way at any rate. |

Chimera brings about quite a bit of nostalgia. I used to have a D&D character who ran a Tavern (made even odder by the fact he was an Eladrin in the Overworld) called The House of Trees (Books jokes!) Granted, Chimera's looks are a bit... Odd? I've never seen a dragon quite like this before.
