- We're leaving the mainland harbour tomorrow morning 6am, sharp. There has been too many delays on this trip. The main sail has now been fixed and the rest of the journey should go fine. The dwarfs dug up the hidden treasure. We haven't been able to open it yet but.. erh, someone's coming.. - A telegram, secret message

Blackbeard is the clan's tradesman. She has her own ship and a crew, she's a great captain. Blackbeard looks a lot like a pirate, but that's just the way she likes to dress, she's the most honorable trader in the seas, I assure you...

Her crew consists of dwarfs, her being the only dragon on the ship. The dwarfs are brave sailors and they live for the same passion of sea travelling as does Blackbeard. These dwarfs are also Blackbeard's closest family, as they found her as a hatchling, when she was abandoned by her own parents. They gave her a name, home and purpose. The dwarfs actually thought her to be a male dragon at first and that's why she got her name. The dwarfs were going to change her name after realising their mistake, but Blackbeard had already made up her own mind and wanted to keep it.

Blackbeard's and her crew's journey always starts from the clan's port, the ship gets filled with beautifully detailed clothing, silks, pelts, tools and dried meat and berries, all this made with hard work of the clan members. The ship sails off, Blackbeard loves the wide ocean, she breaths in the sea breeze and gives commands to her loyal crew. They visit many ports on their way, small and big. They trade for coins, jewels and materials the ship and the clan lacks. Blackbeard is a great salesman, she makes some great deals with customers, her sense of humor works well on almost anybody. It can take months before they sail back home, to load up their ship again.

It's a way of living, and it suits Blackbeard so well. Although sometimes she feels like there's something missing. A partner, perhaps. She fancies Arabesque a lot. Blackbeard brings her gifts from the sea, pendants, diamonds and seashells. She writes love letters to Arabesque on her travels. She goes to see Arabesques performances always when she's back on homeland, she gives her the loudest applauds. She feels like she lacks in the skill of romance but she's trying her best. She knows Arabesque might never answer to her feelings, but what can you do when your heart wants what it wants.

Barbossa the macaw is a real pirate to the heart. Hold onto your coin bags and sapphire rings, they won't be safe around this little rascal. Not sure where he has learned such manners? Naughty birdie.

A Love Letter:

My dear Arabesque,

I hope you're well and happy. I feel like it's been forever since we saw each other.

My journey has taken me to the seas I've never sailed on before, and it's taking me much longer to return back home than I first thought. The mist here lies thick over the water, making it dangerous to move forward, so we have to take it slow with the crew. The wind blows cold and gives me shivers, but the thought of you makes me feel warm inside.

I'm afraid I won't be back before your Christmas performance, but I know you'll make it spectacular. I miss the times we have spent together, and look forward to the future, for there I can finally see you again.

Ps. To this letter, I attach a small amethyst. It shines almost as bright as you do, but could never be worth of what you're. It's roughly shaped like a heart, it could make a fine pendant. I cannot tell you where I found it, or at least not write about it.. but I hope you'll like it.
