Personality: Elderberry is quite the shameless flirt, and he acts platonically towards almost every masculine dragon in the Clan. It's very difficult to tell whether he's actually flirting or just being his normal self, and he occasionally gets attacked by dragons who misinterpret his intent. He can come off as aloof and vain at times, as he is frequently seen grooming himself and looking for apparel, but he is mostly a sweetheart that enjoys giving affection as a sign of friendship. In fact, his favorite thing to do in his free time is to go around and give every masculine dragon a quick cheek nuzzle. Being a scholar, Elderberry is naturally inquisitive about the affairs of his Clanmates and awards forehead kisses to those who can tolerate him writing about their every move for at least a few hours.

Familiar: Bluefin the Maren Ambusher. Bluefin initially joined the Clan to learn to become a scholar, but he was quickly disappointed when he was assigned his mentor by Lady. He has a strained relationship with Elderberry, as he's annoyed by the Skydancer's constant flirting with other dragons and constantly insists him to stay on task. The Maren is usually forced to organize all of Elderberry's possessions for him due to the dragon's bad habit of randomly misplacing things and forgetting where they were. Bluefin longs to actually learn something, but he also emphasizes respect and tries to stay quiet about it.

Reputation: Elderberry is generally viewed with neutrality from his Clanmates, but some find him annoying due to his flirtatious and somewhat conceited personality. Because Elderberry flirts with almost every masculine dragon in the Clan (including those that already have a mate), dragons that don't understand his platonic intent won't hesitate to attack him. The only dragons that view Elderberry with some degree of positivity are his boyfriend, Sibelius, and his best friend, Chrysalis.

Backstory: Elderberry was originally from a nomadic family and lived a peaceful life as a hatchling. When he became a young adult, he left his family to find a Clan to settle down in, since he thought that a nomadic lifestyle wasn't for him and didn't want his bows to be tattered up by wear. Shortly after arriving into the Clan, he met a Tundra dragon named Chrysalis and mistook him for the Clan's leader because he was the first dragon in the Clan that he met. "You smell new." was Chrysalis' first words to Elderberry, and that was the start of their friendship. Of course, after he found out that the Clan was led by a pairing of Fae dragons, Elderberry couldn't help but scoff at the idea, and he thought about leaving the Clan despite befriending Chrysalis. His opinion of the Clan soon changed when he met Sibelius, the Clan's heir, and almost instantly fell for him. Surprisingly, Elderberry didn't need much wooing to win Sibelius' heart, and the two quickly started dating after that. Currently, Elderberry lives a peaceful life as a scholar and clearly intends to stay in the Clan for the rest of his life.
