Araceli was once revered as the most beautiful of dragons in all the lands. She had many clans offering to accept her into their lairs, but she never accepted a single one. She turned down each and every one of the down, believing she was far too beautiful for all of them. She never once took a mate, turning each of those down as well, feeling as though she was far too good for them in every aspect. Araceli was captured by several Imperials all dressed in armor, which all attacked her. Finally captured and defeated, led into her own downfall no less, she was forced to accept a home in a shabby lair that was near her. From which dragons poured out, in means of guarding her from an uncertain death. Covered in scratches and gashes when she entered, they treated her and nursed her back to health. She had intended to leave, but with the large tear in her wing, it was impossible for her to fly away and continue her wandering. Being stuck and incapable of leaving she offered to them her help, so that the lair could be to her taste. She expanded the lair, and made it grow to immeasurable sizes, certainly making it more beautiful as she went along. She grew content of what the lair had become under her watchful eyes.

Once she finished with her redecorating, she began to meet the other dragons. She met the Clan leaders, then the regular members. She met one dragon, which she learned goes by the name "Hope" last. Araceli hated how ugly Hope looked, and quickly rejected her presence. She did everything she could to avoid her. Hope, in distaste, set her as a target of ever lasting torture. Hope would often hide in the shadows, watching the vain Araceli. Noticing that vanity consumed Araceli's soul, she set an offer for beauty forward to her. Hope promised her a greater beauty than any other dragon could ever obtain, she said it was only through magic that one could become so beautiful. Greedily, Araceli accepted her offer of higher beauty. Hope gave a secret disfigured smile at this, and began her process. She started by drawing out the star, her claws coated in thick white chalk. After finishing off her star she started her circle, then upon finishing that added in her pentagon, finishing her seal off perfectly. Araceli was confused by the concept behind her work, but she disregarded all her bad feelings, as the offer of better looks was far too enticing to give up. Hope began to say an incantation, and placed her paw in the highest point of the Pentagon. Both watched as it lit up, filling the secluded area with a bright blinding light.

With the seal lit up and glowing strongly Araceli felt pluses of pain within her body. Her body began to burn inside and pain ran throughout her, and she roared in agony. Hope just watched the downfall of "Everlasting Beauty" as put by Araceli. Along the path to what she thought would make her more alluring to all dragons, she fainted. When she came to dragons surrounded her, their faces shocked, and some disgusted. They all whispered to one another about how ugly she'd become. In horror Araceli rose to her feet and rushed to the nearest source of water she could find. Unable to find any she had Beloved cast a spell, creating an ice wall for herself to look into. Her beauty was gone, dashed, destroyed, no more! Enraged, she turned to Hope, who stood shrouded in shadows and an evil aura. Hope said something she could make out, and disappeared. Araceli, devastated by her new ram horns and antlers, renamed herself to Collapse. As Collapse she despises beauty and all the likes, but never wishes upon them what she went through herself. To this day she hates Hope, but has grown to accept her new look. She also embraces new ideas of beauty, rather than being shallow and focusing only on her looks.

Despite her new found contentedness she still hides her face, which is burned and scarred from Hope's spell, wearing a specialized cowl. Her eyes have since became a solid white, even though she can still see perfectly well. Collapse now pretends that her former self, Araceli, never existed, in fact she denies ever being her. Stories are told within the clan, and she always tries to dispel this truthful rumor be falsifying the stories with her own twists. She may hate what she has become, but she learned a lesson that couldn't be taught by other means. Dragons in the clan, old and young, ask her about this rumored beautiful dragon, to which she declines them in giving an answer. She often fusses at those who ask about, or claim that she is, or was, this dragon. She has grown to be very though, a skilled fighter within her clan and she isn't afraid to get into fights, as she feels she can't get any uglier. She would gladly take her beauty back any day, though she doesn't, in truth, want to give up her hideousness.
