Ophelia was born a carbon copy of her father, mother and all her siblings. In hopes to stand out, Ophelia tried to make herself as attractive to others as she could; she dressed herself up and used magic to enhance her beauty. Her undeniable charm, combined with her vanity and selfishness, created the image she so desired of an alluring but unapproachable being. The envy and jealousy she cultivated in others heart eventually turned against her when her parents joined the Icewarden, along with her remaining siblings, while she was denied that honor. Enraged and having lost her dignity, Ophelia fled her clan and ended up in the Shifting Expanse.

Once she had reached the desert, Ophelia begrudgingly began to work. Her beautiful works had been prized in the Southern Icefield, but here the dragons seemed more interested in purpose than appearance. The first months after her arrival were difficult and Ophelia's unattractive personality made it difficult for her to join a clan. Eventually, she adapted her clothes to be thermoresistant and able to conduct electricity away from the body, which got her a lot more attention. It was then that she was spotted by Lulit, who offered her food and a place to live as long as she kept on making her working clothes.
