Her favorite color is red, perhaps due to her being from the Slee Lair, a Plague clan. She was born a Ridgeback of a triple obsidian sire and a triple midnight dam. However, the Ridgeback form was uncomfortable to her so she pleaded with the other members of this lair to help her to gather enough treasure to purchase the magic scroll to change. Because the hatchling was so determined, the adults helped her to reach her goal. The change was achieved.

She wears red to match her eyes. Her familiar Garnet was drawn to her because of her obvious love for his color. She chose the name Khestryll in honor of the beauty of all raptors and to match the name of her mate, Thestryll.
