Biography
Za'Kirzalath Lord of the Dead. The Dream Walker. He Who Slays the Emperor. | *************************** |
Persuasive. Scheming. Patient. No one is certain how, or when, Za'Kir arrived to the clan's territory and indeed, most members of the Crystal Skies believe his lair has always been where it is. His glowing red eyes suggest that he was not born in the Starfall Isles, but it is impossible to pry further information of his origins from him. He laces his replies with coldness, cruelty or wry sarcasm, depending completely on what kind of a mood he is in. Za'Kir makes his lair deep beneath the main lair of the clan. His cave is not easily accessible, and one must go down a long, twisting tunnel that seems to have no ending at all. Za'Kir himself is rarely seen leaving his lair, and how he even receives food is beyond everyone. If asked, Za'Kir will simply state that he requires no nourishment, though no one quite knows if this is actually true, or if he is just being evasive. Za'Kir seems to believe himself to be some sort of a god, and he has little respect for the eleven deities of Sornieth. He claims to have dominion over the dead, and he says he is capable of sensing and communicating with them. Whether or not this is true is a mystery, not that he cares much for the opinion of others. Due to his affinity towards the dead, he oversees the destruction of any dead imperial that happens upon the clan's territory. Indeed, preventing Emperors from forming seem to be pretty much the only times he is ever seen outside his lair. Za'Kir is adamant in protecting his secrets, and as such in protecting his lair as well as the clan's lair above his own. Due to this, and the fact that he rarely is seen in public, the clan does not mind his presence or rather questionable claims in godhood. One thing that he is not hiding, however, is his capability to influence dreams. How he does this is unknown, but when asked he can describe dreams the dragons of his clan have seen in great detail. He has said he has no interest to tamper with their dreams, as long as they pose no threat to him. So far the only one whose dreams he has tampered with are those of his son, Kuura. What his motive for doing this is, however, is unknown. Following both clan's migration from the Starfall Isles to the Shifting Expanses, Za'Kir has become more active in the Crystal Skies' daily life. He does not interfere with their decisions or actions, nor does he strike up conversations, but the clan sees him outside of his newly crafted lair more and more each passing day. Why he even chose to come with them is a mystery to all but him, as he is not officially a member of either clan. Since the migration to their new territory, Za'Kir has gathered a fair number of followers, seemingly among both clans. Though neither he nor his followers have confirmed it, he seems to have some sort of a mental link with each of them. What this means for him and them is, currently, still a mystery. strangely enough, all the nocturnes in the clan tend to flock to him. though not all of them become his followers, they all hold him in high regard. follower of Za'Kir He seems to be able to see things others cannot see. He calls them spirits, sometimes souls, and claims they have an impact on everything, even the fates. when he looks at za'kir, he sees a spirit instead of a dragon. why this is, he has no idea, though if za'kir knew (and possibly does know), he'd claim it is due to his own divinity (though no one knows whether this is true or not).
Käsitykset varjosieluista voivat perustua voimakkaasti animistiseen maailmankuvaan.

Brother of Ahstrunkest. He will avenge his brother in the Hardcore Hunger Games
"He has come prepared, dressed from head to toe in armour and spikes. He would not be taken by surprise. He would not be the first to fall." Azuolas attempted double suicide in the middle of the games, it failed, and he died together with the other Tribute. Silly boy. 1st Tribute Ahstrunkest wrote:
He did not survive the Hunger Games. Due to promises made prior to becoming a tribute, Za'Kir brought him back to life, but only for long enough for Ahstrunkest to fulfill his promises. After that, the wildclaw will truly die.

Ahstrunkest opened his eyes blearily and found himself from a dimly lit cave with no recollection of how he had gotten there. He remembered running from the cornucopia, thinking that hiding away from the other tributes would be his best chance at survival. There had been so many of them, and the fighting had started as soon as the horn had sounded. He hadn't waited to see the results, hadn't even grabbed any supplies.
There had been pain. A sharp stab at his back. Startled, he tried to get up from where he laid prone on the floor, only to find the pain resurfacing and his body unable to move. Something moved in the shadows, and he suddenly realised he was no longer in the Arena as a tall, black imperial towered over him, his red eyes gleaming in the dark. The wildclaw's first instinct was to relax. This imperial was his Lord, the one he served. But a tiny voice at the back of his mind told him to be wary, that something was... different now. "You did not survive the Games", the imperial said with a voice barely above a whisper, as if guessing his line of thought. "You were stabbed in the back. You are... useless to me. Broken. Damaged. I have brought you back only for you to take care of the promises you made. After that..." The imperial trailed off, but Ahstrunkest did not need to hear the rest. He swallowed, realising now for the first time that upon entering the Games, he had truly wasted his life. The imperial scowled at him, disappointed. "You have three weeks. I suggest you use them well." The black imperial then turned away, heading out of the dimly lit cave, and leaving the wildclaw truly alone. |
