Sacristy came to Sideris as an independent orphan serving as a deckhand on board a trading ship passing through the port. However, she was permanently invited into the clan as Sucellus’ assistant when he overheard her negotiating a trade deal that effectively saved her captain’s treasure and reputation.
She proved herself to be capable and eventually was promoted to manager of the Shrine Tree, the overseer of the elemental priests who tracks all of their paperwork and requests while maintaining the state of the tree itself, the altars, and more. She runs a tight ship and doesn’t have much of a sense of humor, but she’s good at her job and the priests warmed up to her presence in their domain.

She is notorious for her passion for military history and angry music or poetry, and that reputation contributes to her intimidating presence. Sacristy is a large dragon in the first place, and her solid black apparel and grim expression require a brave dragon to stand up against. Her favorite coat has been covered in patches she has sewn into the fabric, each with the name or logo of a particular bard or guild band she enjoys. She calls it her “battle jacket”, and indeed it bears the wear and tear (and bloodstains) of past duels she has fought in it.

Curiously enough for her role, Sacristy does not actually believe in literal existence of the deities herself and finds exaltation to be a disgusting and ignorant tradition. Sucellus finds that to be a positive trait to ensure she treats the various priests equally and doesn't show favoritism, though they have some dissent about being overseen by an atheistic heathen.
