Biography

Statlia
Clan Leaders Mate

Though she hails from the Viridian Labyrinth, Statlia has a deep connection with the Plaguebringer. She was drawn towards the Wasteland as a hatchling, and even managed to get there one day while her clan traveled. Upon arrival, the hatchling wandered mindlessly, managing to get herself lost in it. By some miracle, she found her way back go her original clan. However, while they welcomed her back, she was not allowed to stay long due to the disease she had contracted there. After a brief time to collect her belongings, regain her health, and say goodbye, she was banished from the clan. She left without argument, for she understood why the clan was banishing her, as they feared they'd also contracted the disease. The disease which caused roses to erupt from her scales, the disease that started to kill those flowers. Many worried it would spread to other dragons, or possibly kill the plant life.

She left, wandering the Nature Flight's domain in search of a clan that would accept her, disease and all. She found none that would do so, none that would take the risk. Statlia's travels eventually brought her to the Lightning Farm of the Shifting Expanse. There, she met an attractive Imp named Nerona, who planned on leaving to go his on way. He didn't purposely avoid her, nor did he cast side glances and whisper about her to others. No, he was different. He went out of his way to talk with her, get to know her. He wanted to start a friendship with her, something Statlia was greatful for. No other dragon she'd known had ever looked at her and thought she was more than the disease covering her, but Nerona did. After a few days of conversing with him, she decided to go with him. The two bonded over their many similarities, such as how they both enjoyed sitting quietly in the dark and thinking. As the two Imperials traveled, Statlia found herself slowly falling in love with him. She adored his sense of adventure, how he always manages to look at the brighter sides of life, and how he treated her like a dragon rather than a festering illness with legs. As the two traveled, the roses across her body gained life once more, blooming into sweet smelling flowers. She often found herself sleeping closer to him when the rested, hoping he'd take the incentive to lie right beside her. Alas, this didn't occur as she'd hoped. Instead he often moved back a bit, wishing her the best of dreams. On these nights, Statlia would sit in silence for the longest times, listening to the gentle breathing of her traveling companion and watch the stars twinkle over head. Many nights were like this. However, there were the rare nights where he scooted closer, draping a wing over her. These were the nights she felt the most content, the happiest.
