Born to a clan in service to the Arcanist, Vaner has always had an innate desire to experiment with the workings of the universe. He came to Wanderhome at a young age, and it did not take his elders long to realize Vaner had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge.
Quinlagul was given the duty of teaching Vaner regular Draconic, but he has had some difficulty picking it up and speaks with a lisp of sorts - he tends to draw out his s sounds as if he is hissing, and still gives clicks and hums in the middle of sentences sometimes. He never grew out of this habit wit age, and still mainly socializes with the clan's other Coatl.
Lately he has begun scouring the library for books on Alchemy, and what few tentative experiments he's done based on his research have only increased his desire to do more. Other dragons in the clan, namely Lawedeth and Azenha, have observed Vaner chuckling (in his own humming, clicking way) in the back of the library, where he has left the occasional mess of materials for the underlings to clean up.
He has been asked to kindly move his experiments elsewhere, but the clan elders doubt that request will put a hold on Vaner's experimentation for long.
