She can't have kids (???) so she adopted five vampires. She went through a couple color changes until she matched them. She lets them sleep in her wings and loves them more than hot peach juice.*

The Batkids
Higgins (the armful): The oldest, but a big baby-brat and mama's boy. Likes to get his way and eat his weight in fruit and whine a lot. He loves his mother very much though.
Tuttle (upside-down awake): The most adventurous of the bunch, though very quiet and pensive. She seems like a bit of a nugget-brain, but she actually thinks about things for a very long time.
Molly (upside-down asleep): A stubborn, sleepy critter. She needs a lot of prodding from mom to try anything new. She isn't easily frightened, she's just incredibly lazy.
Foffet (clingy child): Foffet, however, is easily frightened. New experiences scare her and she waits for the other batkids to try things first. She's a big cuddle-muffin and somewhat artistic.
Pip (lapdog): The smallest batkid and a rather alert, melancholy fellow. He considers Higgins his rival for their mama's attention. He's kind of whiny too, but in a different way.
