Biography
Git gud.
June 6, Year 19
When Wormix first attempted to smuggle his hatchlings out of the Ship, he melted down some of his mate's loose treasure and gilded them in the hope of increasing their appeal. Unfortunately, body painting is not one of Wormix's eclectic skills. The middle child Glitterguts (formerly Skizzskazz, a strong Wind name, but mercilessly renamed by Humerus) was coated in copper.
Unlike his siblings- and nearly everyone else come think- Gitterguts really enjoyed school. Especially math. His father's increasingly desperate attempts to relocate him to a clan where "school" wasn't one old Pearlcatcher in a room made of meat rolled off Glitterguts like radioactive slime off a radioactive slime, and in fact he really liked the trips to the auction house. He could talk his Dad into buying or selling anything and he wouldn't even remember.
His fascination with commerce carried into adulthood and ultimately brought the Ship some much needed financial stability. I guess that's score one for their unspoken policy of letting anyone do any job no matter how young or inexperienced they are? He still sees it as nothing but a mathematical game though, and only occasionally wonders what people actually do with their goods and/or services.
He'll sell anything if it's profitable, and has even been known to take items straight off the backs of his shipmates. All for the greater good, of course. He doesn't steal from anyone outside his clan, and this would annoy Meatheart if she paid any attention to her offspring.
(But anyway, here's the song.)
