Personality Bio

NightWing is a guardian dragon, and standard to her breed is quite protective and a firm 'guard'.
Quite motherly, she is lovable and caring to those of her clan. However she is also known for being very bold, harsh toned and bluntly honest. She is a very proud individual and very loyal.
Despite these traits, as apart of the ShadowFlight she isn't as mischievous as her brethren. However she is or can be very elusive and secretive. Keeping to the darkness and enjoying staying stealthy, so she is only open to those she truly trusts.
NightWing is a first generation. She is also the very first of this individual clan making her not only the founder but also the motherly matriarch of this Shadow Flight Clan.
As loyal as she is to the Shadowbinder, she hopes to raise many broods of eggs and help not only strengthen the flight but her own personal clan as well. The wandering male that helped start the clan known as "Rouge" may not be a Guardian but she oddly finds his personality welcoming. Despite seeming like a nonjudgmental dragon, it is a unfortunate fact she favors darker hided dragons. Personally believing her bloodline and clan should consist of Dragons as dark as the shadows they follow by. Her first or current mate; Rouge is dark enough to be worthy of a father however it is his mischievous and strong Shadow-Elemental personality that lures her to enjoy his company the most.
She enjoys all sorts of food but favors meat above others. Snakes, mice and hooves being her absolute favorite of all. Having her clan be set in the Driftwood Drag of The Tangled Wood. It was her dream to actually have her clan be set in the Foxfire Bramble region. Favoring the protective thorns, however it seems she has settled for the more wet lands for it's high abundance of food great for supporting a growing starting clan.
Pastimes include flying in the dark of night, keeping out of sight, raising and watching over her family as well as hunting and digging for treasures. Her favorite colors are anything black or kin of color.

[The story of her life & Founding the Blue Scythe]

NightWing is a first generation and lacks any mortal parents due to this. She is one of the many children of mother Shadowbinder. It was unbeknown to this Guardian who's strong urge to protect and serve the shadow to also search and find her Charge was being followed by another first generation dragon. She craved for the thick thorns of the foxfire bramble but instead unexpectedly found her charge in a plot of territory of the Driftwood Drag... It confused her greatly. It was not one thing, but it's entirety! This would force her to make it her homeland, her lair- so she could always watch over it.
The creeping first generation who lurked not far would finally reveal himself. A Mirror dragon. Most unusual due to their large pack social habits of not only keeping with their own breed, but to also be a loner all this time.... but not for long. This blood scaled male knew her intentions to start a clan and his sneaky greed overcame him. With the nameless mirror dragon NightWing dubbed 'Rouge' somehow managed to convince this obsidian guardian to become her mate and help lead the new clan & lair.
NightWing demanded full control. This was her charge, Her Lair! HER Clan! Rouge was obviously not a average mirror having some mental disturbance making him different but even he understood not to challenge this.
"Blue Scythe"
This is the name of the clan she would raise. Rouge did not understand, he wanted to understand why such a name? NightWing had few explanation, only answering with this to say: "We will be warriors, guardians of the shadows and fighters for Mother Shadowbinder. Scythes are both tools of life and death. They help harvest the fields that feed, and with skilled claws are shown being used as weapons of assassination. The color blue..... is personal."
Indeed, personal and still rarely does she explain why. When named, one of the nicknames bestowed on her was 'Code Blue'. It was something she kept others from knowing. She is secretly a lethal fighter, who before setting off on her 'search of the charge' had allowed herself to be a tool of deadly needs.

[Family begins the clan]

Her first clutch; a pair of eggs. Two guardians much to NightWing's delight but it would be her first offspring which would bring forth more drama and tension than she could ever imagine! A girl and a boy. One colored like her father that made the selfish judgmental mirror pleased- but the first born.. the male who's scales had been white! A albino, and the light color reminded the two shadow parents of the flight they equally detested. Rouge wanted the boy dead. NightWing still had mother instincts, she still loved the hatchling. Rouge named the female Red; whose name also meant Rouge in another language. NightWing named the male 'WhiteOut'. Sadly, the offspring was targeted constantly and this matriarch found a larger wedge driving her apart from her first mate.
The second batch of eggs soon came, joyously this time it was a clutch of 3.
Their first mirror offspring was born- as well as two more guardians. One of them another even brighter albino. Rouge would not stand for a second white dragon in the lair- and demanded death of the whelp. It broke the matriarch's heart. Certainly the only way to save her son would be to exalt him to the Shadow Mother. She regretfully had done so, but kept positive.
The clan was that of a family group so far.
Not long after, other hatchlings were founded, adopted in and a verity of other breeds made the lesser lair seem to grow and prosper! When the hatchlings grew to adulthood and sought mates of their own. Blade- the first sky dancer to join in was one of these members.... his leadership and personality attracted NightWing to him. She ripped the title of leader from Rouge and bonding with Blade pronounced him the new king.

Indeed, Blade was the new leader and alpha male.

Till this day, the Blue Scythe has seen positive changes since his role. A very important 'Right of Passage' event is given to every member of this clan. Although focused on hatchlings reaching adulthood, it is also given to new members as a sign of complete and full acceptance. This is a clan of warriors, fighters, assassins or guards & spies. Those of the battlefield. In the 'Right of Passage', the newly grown dragon will be sent with others of the same level or age to go on a hunting party in the coliseum. It is here that they must fight, hunt, or kill prey to pass the test. The better the hunt and loot carried back from the trip the better the results. This test ends when the dragon is no longer level 1. New members are given this same test, the highest level dragons are given better rights and permissions within Blue Scythe- it isn't in the book of rules but rather... it's just the way things are here.
