Once Upon a Time,
~~~~The Dream Realm began to press too closely against Sornieth. The veil had grown thin, and deep, dark Nightmares began to slip through the cracks. The only way to stop the Nightmares was to close the doorway between the Dream Realm and the Awake Realm... But sealing it shut locked dreams away forever, and sleep became a quiet abyss — cold, hollow, and still. Each night stretched into emptiness. The Nightdew Sovereigns knew they could not face this alone, so they sought help from the only one who could give it. A tiny Tiefling with two pairs of dragons — one that guarded the edge of sleep: The Lurkers of the Deep — Duskmire Twinkle. The other let the peaceful dreams flow free: Blushdream Vale. Together, they opened the Dream Realm once more and stood watch at the border, protecting Nightdew Haven from the nightmares that crept in from the dark.
~~~~Blushdream Vale guide dreams into the sleeping. They are the soft colors of pink and purple daydreams, gliding through the night like silk on wind. Wherever they pass, they leave a sense of calm — a hush that settles gently over sleepers like a sigh.
~~~~They bring peace and happiness, choosing only the kindest dreams from the Dream Realm — those spun from starlight, memory, and hope. They help the good dreams flow through, drifting slowly like cool mist, and guide them carefully into resting minds.
~~~~They move very quietly, their presence barely more than a breeze, and they never wake the sleeping. To most, they are only a feeling — a warmth, a smile in sleep, a trace of something lovely just before the morning comes.
And they all lived… strangely, beautifully, ever after.
