I ran out of characters lmao but just wanted to add that I definitely need to read the comics one day too. I was unironically angry when I learned the comics were apparently necessary to go through if you want to fully understand what Outlast II was about (that's... NOT how you make a direct game sequel. Or any sort of sequel, for that matter). But reading them is definitely on my to-do list haha!

I loved the way the Walrider was explained too, as to what it actually is, it all made perfect sense and I'm a big fan of things that are logical XD Some of his appearances admittedly scared my friend & I a lot. A very good antagonist overall

My goodness, exactly my thoughts on the sequel 😭 Me and the friend I was playing it with finished Outlast II, but man... To this day I have an ancient recording of us as we reached the end of the game and just sat there in silence staring at the credits for like a minute because we just COULDN'T UNDERSTAND what was going on anymore 🤣🤣 literally nothing in this game made sense to me lmao

Trials!! I was very much discouraged to touch anything Outlast-related after that unfortunate sequel, but maybe I should check Trials out, if you say it's so scary

OOOOHH that's a difficult question! Both are really really good and I loved the implications behind the ending of the original game. I do sympathize with Waylon more (especially since he was so desperate to both reveal the truth about Murkoff AND keep his family safe), but Miles has my respect as well. I think Whistleblower is much more chilling when it comes to atmosphere, overall.

:D AND OMG I'M SO HAPPY to see a fellow Outlast fan hahah, I played the original game, the Whistleblower DLC and then the sequel... You wouldn't believe just how much sheer disappointment I felt upon finishing that sequel XD The first game and Whistleblower are masterpieces tho. Did you play all the games or just the original one?
