The quiet in this part of the Thorndark Altar is both reassuring and uncomfortable. If one were to think on it, the silence isn't natural: bugs, humming; birds, lizards, tapping and scuttling; any sort of creature, really, to tell one that there is no threat lingering in this old, abandoned treasury. And yet. After a moment, ears straining for it, one may hear the whisper of water, relentless and pitch-dark, rushing over treasure long-given. It sounds nearly like what one would imagine the tinkling chimes the Windsinger's children might play instead. The Shadowbinder's happiest take care in looking after these old relics -- after all, there may well be a reward in it for them! Waning lanterns flicker a luminous blue, and slant over the carefully laid cobblestone, hewn over the course of centuries and patchworked together to form an undulating river of purple-black tiles. It's nearly as enchanting as the mushroom's forest, if one took the time to sit and observe. The Thorndark Altar welcomes you to make a donation of treasure, and items, and dragons -- anything one might wish to part with. Well? | ~~~~~~~~~ |
