Each type of item turns into different baldwin material. Food turns to goo, materials to ooze, other to sludge, apparel to slime, and familiars to muck. It doesn't matter what item you toss into the cauldron, the color of the baldwin material is determined only by the rarity of the colour. The order of rarity from least to greatest for goo, ooze and sludge is: green, yellow, orange, red, purple, blue. The order of rarity for slime is grey, white, black. The order of rarity for muck is copper, silver, gold.
