Putrexia's Clan

The Plaguesong Clan makes its home in a dank, fungus infested cave along the inner rim of the crater which contains the Wyrmwound overlooking the festering cauldron of pestilence. The entrance leads to a complex, labyrinthine network of tunnels and caves which are filled with parasitic fungus and flooded with fetid, noxious air. Founded by their matriarch, a massive female Aberration named Plaguemothers Putrexia and Asphyxia, the Plaguesong clan is fanatically loyal to the Plaguebringer and lives to spread her pestilent touch across the world.

The primary directive given to Putrexia originally was to both protect the virulent strain multiplying within her and spread it across the world by whatever means she chose. The primary way she has gone about this has been in passing the infection on to her hatchlings; this is not, however, the only way and Putrxia has been sure to send some of her weaker offspring off to serve the Plaguebringer directly where they can spread their Plaguemothers' legacy on the battlefield.
