the clan is run by a shapeshifter who forgets their form, name, purpose, and general thing frequently. however, they do wake up every day, see the dragons, and think, dang, i should probably take care of those guys. they're cool. they're possessed by some kind of very old entity that acts up every once in a while. might be why their brain is so scrambled.

dragons who are born or move within the borders of the outpost will sometimes exhibit strange and esoteric powers, most of which are virtually useless (liquidating oneself on command, etc.)

of course, this was all a long time ago. now, there's only what lucky and daybreak can see......
