Not playing FR anymore for the foreseeable future, none of my dragons are for sale unless they are. No haggling.
Originally an unnamed band of fae living deep within the tangled vines of Foxfire Brambles, the Ill Luck Clan was truly formed when a scout party discovered their first clanless coatl.
Determined an ill luck omen due to her dull colors, the baby coatl had been abandoned. Although the fae were unable to communicate with the young coatl they took her in and it was she who named them the Ill Luck Clan. As the coatl grew she dedicated her life to searching for other dragons lost or abandoned in the Foxfire Brambles. Some stayed, but many moved on over time.
As the clan continues to slowly welcome new orphans, they outgrew the little clearing in the Foxfire Brambles. This was expedited by the appearance of a large group of young nocturne hatchlings attaching themselves to the clan. Called the Hellos, none of the nocturnes seemed to have an individual name – or maybe even identity.
They moved as one, and when the decision was made to travel out of the Tangled Wood and into the Sunbeam Ruins, it was ultimately the Hellos that began leading the clan, and them who chose the new home of Ill Luck on the border of the Beacon of the Radient Eye and the Hewn City.
The Ill Luck clan continues to change as dragons come and go, but above all else they have become an order dedicated to the education of Lost Dragons. This education takes different forms depending on the dragon and the teacher – some specialize in military tactics, others in lore and history.
The high quality of education which comes out of Ill Luck clan leads many of the dragons who chose not to stay good candidates for Exaltation to the deity of their choice, to become valued members of other clans, or to set off and found new clans of their own.
This is an exalting lair.
