Tribal culture The Songbirds are a travelling tribe that voyages for half of the year, returning in the spring season and setting off once again as the temperature drops, chasing the sun. For this reason, many of The Songbirds are refugees or restless wanderers, of many different tribes, yet united by the desire to experience all.

Species The Wildclaw are the original species of the Songbirds, residing within their homeland in the Gladekeeper's kingdom since their creation. It is for this reason that this is the place they return to after each annual voyage across Sornieth, traversing through each elemental flights territories in search of new members, and to find their calling. This tribe is one that values, as is typical of nature natives, personal and collective growth and community. Contribution to the welfare of dragons, and the plentiful flora and fauna that the Gladekeeper provides, is of great importance. However, as Wildclaw, battle skill is also highly praised, with each adolescent undergoing strict sparring and elemental training from a personal teacher from the moment they turn 10 years old. It is from this moment they are permitted to join the main tribe on their journey each year. However, travelling through the Plague territories is rare, with many refusing to set foot on land so foreign and unknown to those who have only known Nature. It is a hard lesson to learn that rot and disease are necessary for the balance of life, and many younger members harbour fear and ignorance toward the plague-borne. This is something that is beginning to change, as the small populations of Abberation and Mirror dragons, children of the Plaguebringer, have settled into the Songbird territories within the Gladeveins. The small group of Abberation's arrived first, a wandering group without an established culture or family, venturing in search of something unknown, with no knowledge of home. When crossing the Nature realm, they stumbled upon great swaths of lush grass, growing tall enough to graze their stomachs and hide their presence. This grass, along with the many tall pink flowers which grow alongside it, provided more security than the flat plains and rocky mountains they had travelled across. With little knowledge on how to create lasting lairs, the grass became their home, slipping in and out of sight, unknown to the locals. However, these moors resided in Songbird territory, and before long, they were discovered. Initially reviled for being plague-borne, many members wished to drive them out, back to their homeland. But being a travelling tribe, many members of the Songbirds hailed from the Plaguebringer's kingdom themselves, and fought for the right for the Abberation's to stay. This created an uneasy balance, and the Abberation's mostly kept to themselves, out of fear of discimination in enemy lands. As the years went on, the groups became accustomed to one another and friendships blossomed, especially among more curious and accepting hatchlings. The Abberation tribe became united with the Songbirds, and accompany them on their travels as full fledged members. Having little tradition, the Abberation's adopted the culture of the Songbirds, including their ideals and customs, but preach the importance of plague-nature balance more than their Wildclaw counterparts. Unlike the Abberations, those on the Whispering Cliffs are not here by accident, being sent by the Sunset Bureau to the one of the most elementally charged peaks of Sornieth, which resides overlooking the Songbirds temperate forests and moors. These dragons are scholars of elemental magic, in an all female tribe dedicated to greater understanding of the elements. Members consist of dragons a part of every flight to make their studies as holistic as possible, and while most are Skydancers, experts from other species are welcome to further their research. As the Sunset Bureau made their home on the cliffs, they came to interact with the Songbirds and form connections with them, eventually joining forces, although they stay studious on their peaks and do not travel with the others. Members of the Sunset Bureau have made the Whispering Cliffs their home among the Songbirds, but retain the traditions and values of their organisation as they live and work to uncover more mysteries of elemental magic. As for the Mirror's, over seven years ago, while chasing the endless hunt, a Mirror was grievously hurt, ensnared in the talons of a mighty sky raptor and dropped from a great height. While torn, and pulled by the instinctive urge to follow the migration, a few friends of the victim broke from the pack to care for their wounds. Stranded in the middle of the Light flight, with little resources, healing was slow and exhausting, and hope seemed lost for the survival of all, as the prey had been hunted down to scarcity by the pack as it passed. This was until the Songbirds passed, on their similar voyage across Sornieth, and possessing the healing elemental magic of the Gladekeeper in its ranks. As great hunters, the Wildclaw had respect for the Mirror species, made stronger by the growing acceptance of plague-borne species like the Abberation. The journey ground to a halt, focused on the nursing the Mirror back to health, and forging a great debt of loyalty that the Mirror dragons felt called to repay. They accompanied the Songbirds on their journey, and their similar lifestyle made adapting easier, and they returned with the Songbirds to their territory. They settled near the Abberation's, in the diverse and beautiful meadows beside the pink moors the Abberation call their home. Adapting to new life, the Mirror dragons struggle with communicating with the other species, but stay by their side as proficient hunters and protectors. The Nocturnes are the least known and understood species that resides on Songbird territory, and did not begin to appear until the recent events of the Night of Nocturne. They dwell in the Luminous Caves, guarded vigilantly by invisible, "startouched" sentries. The Songbirds know little of the Nocturnes other than glimpses and whispers, rumours circulating about their existence, and their intentions with the tribe. Under full moons, mysterious offerings are found scattered throughout the Songbird territories, supposedly thanks to the dragons residing above ground for leaving the Nocturne's be. While seemingly peaceful, concerns about the Nocturne's are apparent in the Songbirds, as their ability to live silently and invisibly among them makes the feathers on even the most hardy of Wildclaw's crests stand up.
