Despite my obvious fandom name, my dragon clan takes its name, and the names of its denizens, from a different fandom I hold dear - the Black Jewels novels, written by Anne Bishop. Blood and Landen alike share this lair and work for the good of the clan and the benefit of Stormcatcher.

Anyone who wants to talk about the Black Jewels novels is welcome! Anyone who is looking for a Black Jewels-inspired name for their dragon - I've compiled a list of every named character and place in the Three Realms, so please don't hesitate to ask!

I saw a really old forum post that indicated you listen to filk, and since I also listen to filk, I thought I'd drop by and say hi. :)
Not counting the Black Flag dragons (or Frederick who regularly apprenticed himself to their pirate band), my one and only fan dragon so far is a tribute to a classic filk song.

Ah, I am the same way! People don't realize we use words based off of Latin in everyday conversations. It's good to hear that Latin is being taught in high school, again! (I'm in Latin III ;>)

Just wanted to drop in to say how excited I am to see a Black Jewels themed lair! I have pipe dreams of making some fan dragons from the series myself. I really like how yours came out!
