Welcome to Voidhunter's Canyon!

LORE

Those who are lost,
And those who are alone,
Those who are broken,
And those who have no home,

Should you find yourself among the crystal spikes of the Starfall Isles,
Seek the canyon disguised by shadow,
And you will be granted peace, rest,
And whatever else you require.

But, should you outstay your welcome,
Beware, for the Void’s wrath is extreme,
And the dragons here,
Are not what they seem...

Those who call Voidhunters canyon home are known for being shrouded in mystery. They keep their secrets close, and despite the different clans that live here, they would each gladly die in defense of their home. These dragons are travelers, wanderers, escapees. Regardless of their pasts, they have been drawn to the canyon and the mysterious magic the weaves it’s way through the air, earth and water.

A city of Lost souls thrives in the center of the canyon and closest to the falls. A deceptively small cabin sits alone and isolated in the middle of a gloomy wood. Wild beasts with glowing eyes and sharpened claws prowl the land around the canyon. And a library, flowing with all elemental powers, invites all to enter and gaze at the wonders it hides within.

THE SILVER BULLET SOCIETY

These dragons hail from a hundred different worlds, and have been gathered into one sentient, pocket dimension, whose sole purpose is the safety and happiness of every dimension. It does this by collecting powerful and noble heroes to send out on quests. Most of the society members who live in Voidhunter’s canyon are heroes chosen from Sorneith, and they specialize in hunting down shade-tainted creatures and killing them. The only way to access the society is through a small and unassuming cabin in the woods.

THE CITY OF THE LOST

Formed by the original dragons that found Voidhunter’s canyon, The City of the Lost is vibrant and lively city full of colors and lights. Though the population of permanent residents is rather small, hundreds of dragons constantly move in and out of the city, shopping at its marketplace, or staying at the local inn. The City of the Lost also hosts a number of sub-clans, or factions that serve their own purpose in the clan. A few of these dragons also occasionally do quests for the Silver Bullet Society, though they aren’t official members.

THE MOONGLOW PACK

A closely knit pack of dragons who, by birth or curse, are no longer entirely, dragons. For many of them, this means they have developed some form of beastial nature, wheather they go into some form of feral rage or possess otherworldly abilities, they all have something that marks them as outcasts from typical society. These dragons have banded together in order to help each other learn to control their powers, as well as protect each other from others and themselves. The Moonglow Pack has a rocky relationship with The Silver Bullet Society, as it is the Society’s sworn duty to hunt down monsters that could pose a threat to innocents.

THE NEXUS UNIVERSITY
“What will we discover next?”

The Nexus University is the place to go when you need information on the mysterious or arcane. A vast collection of bestiaries, spell books, mythologies and ancient historical texts, the university is considered a safe haven and place of learning for all. Besides it’s extensive library, the university also sports advanced learning facilities, each tailored to a specific element. Dragons can go there to learn how to get stronger in their own elemental magic, as well as discover the cultures of other elements. University staff members swear allegiance to no clan and act as a neutral force of knowledge. However, they do act in defense of the canyon should it be attacked, as the members of the other clans are a great source of research and knowledge.

THE WANDERER’S GUILD

A small group of dragons (mainly Nadean, Shijan, and Alethia) who across space, time, and dimensions in their giant zeppelin-like timeship. They recently took Silent, Lisse and Devorar on as their prodigies, but that was mostly because they where part of a mysterious prophecy. Silent, Lisse, and Devorar are for the most part simple citizens of The City of the Lost, especially after Shijian’s trans dimensional “incident” and the completion of the prophecy. They still go on adventures with the guild from time to time.

THE CHESHIRE CIRCUS
“Dance! Dance in the pale moonlight!”

A circus formed by some of the residents of the City of the Lost as a way to showcase each other’s talents and generate additional revenue for the clan. Since it’s founding, the circus has lost many of its original members, but those who remain, and those who have joined them, now form a tight-knit group who treat each other like family.

THE VANGUARD
“To protect and preserve.”

The Vanguard is an ancient order of dragons who are dedicated to bring back the magic and traditions of pre-shade Sorneith to the modern era. The members are typically ancient breeds, and their long-forgotten magic and fighting techniques make them a powerful force to add to any clan. The Vanguard are well educated and cultured, as they consider the strengthening of their minds as important as the strengthening of their bodies.

THE CHECKMATE THIEVES
“Sometime bad guys are the only good guys you get.”

A group of highly skilled thieves led by the young, yet brilliant Jena. These dragons live in a morally grey area, preferring to use their skills for the benefit of those less fortunate, yet still going about this in a rather questionable way. Few dragons in The City of the Lost know the true identities of the thieves, as they use code names and work from the shadows.

The Voidhunter’s sister clan in the Sea of a Thousand Currents, Fathom Academy is a School for dragons from every flight to come together to learn to control and grow in their powers, as well as how to work with dragons from other flights. The Voidhunters and Fathom Academy are trade partners who support each other financially and through their tougher times.
