Clan Direclaw
The history of this clan is largely unknown, owing in no small part to the paranoia and secrecy of it's leader Grimtalon. The clan resides in the Abiding Boneyard, and Grim has decided to stay closer to his enemies to keep all four eyes on them. A small clan of misfits (or at least, that's what other clans say), Clan Direclaw specializes in scavenging, with few hunters and no foragers in their ranks. Dragons here are expected to pull their own weight, and earn their keep. Any dragon unfit or unable to do so is advised to leave for a more... forgiving clan.
At the core of the clan is a pack of Mirrors, with two major hunting parties. A handful of Guardians call Direclaw home, but they are relative newcomers. Tundra dragons have been known to be actively chased from this clans territory, as edible plant life is scarce.
The lair is situated in a particularly high altitude region of the Abiding Boneyard, between the summer territory of a large Mirror pack and the year-round residence of a large, Wildclaw-only clan, both of which have a long-lasting feud.
Outside the lair is a large bone spire fence decorated with Mirror skulls facing the Mirror Pack territory, Wildclaw skulls facing the Wildclaw clan territory, and Serthis skeletons facing Beastclan territory. Inside the fence lies a knucker hole, a fish pond full to brimming with fish, and a large cave ringed with more bone spires.
Inside the cave is a series of tunnels, each serving it's own function. Personal caves and warrior dens make up the outermost layer. The middle layer consists of the Great Hall, where clan meetings and feasts are held, and the library, which doubles as a workshop. The innermost, and lowermost tier is where the hatchery, treasury, menagerie, and food supplies are kept. The menagerie is kept at the bank of a large subterranean lake, which functions as clean drinking water for non-Plague clan members and visitors.
Recently, a tunnel was dug to join the lair of Clan Direclaw to the subterranean Hellwell Undercroft. Technically still part of the Abiding Boneyard on the surface, the clan have built strong ties, and sturdy tunnels, to the Undercroft as a more permanent home.
The Wastewanders
The Wastewanders are a roving band of misfits and outcasts who dwell in the harshest environments on Sornieth. They are led by the Warden of the Dead, an old Gaoler known for attracting, herding, and burying undead. By his side are a number of other wandering dragons, consisting of three other Gaolers, a small family of Banescales, a Spiral, two Wildclaws, a Mirror, a Coatl, two Veilspun, and a trio of Aberrations.
The group never stays in one place for very long, and is constantly on the move. They have few allies among dragonkind, and fewer among the Beastclan. One of their allies is Clan Direclaw. Another is the Chillhoof clan of Longneck.
Waylight Outpost
Founded by a group of non-Plague dragons, this outpost is a haven for "civilized" dragons to take refuge in during pilgrimages to and from the Wyrmwound. It is set up on the edge of the Rotrock Rim, and consists of a small village with several huts and an inn.
