The Seekers of the Sunset End

A relatively new coalition formed through bonds of shared paranoia alone, dragons across the flights are beginning to gather under its wings. This group arises from the ruins of a small town and clan named Adhamh. Previous residents of this area were known for their zealotry towards the Gladekeeper; Adhamh soon frayed to tatters once its leaders exalted themselves in a frenzy.

This left young Thunderdome to care for the hatchlings and fellow dragons who managed to escape being exalted.Under the pressure of protecting and guiding the fragments of Adhamh, he was forged into a leader at an exceptionally young age. Over the years he proved himself again and again as a trustworthy figurehead - he bears scars as physical proof - the stress, however, taxed him greatly, now sitting at a comfortable age for any guardian, his beard is graying, his teeth are worn, and his eyes are faded. If he continued as he was, those few that he had spent excessive effort into protecting, would be soon left to fend for themselves.

Luckily, one of the imperial hatchlings that Thunderdome had - in a sense - raised displayed a vibrant and promising personality. Caridad blossomed in her new position in charge of their tiny troop, much like a flower under the spring sun. However, the strain of the role left its mark. Caridad became increasingly paranoid about the Shade; Tales from her early childhood under staunch Gladekeeper followers left her haunted with images of horrid, fearful, archaic monsters. Despite the story of victory that always accompanied those tales, her bitterness towards the Gladekeeper for seemingly stealing her family away lead her to begin prepping for the worst. This did little to compromise her leadership, instead fueling her drive.

Caridad founded The Seekers of the Sunset End as preparation for a second coming of the Shade, in which the deities do not come to the rescue of dragonkind. Quickly, the troop became a growing coalition between flights (Its members all fearing a similar event). The imperial heads the Seekers in the role of First Paladin, and Thunderdome functions as her advisor, right-claw man, and Second Paladin. The common consensus of the Seekers complains of the irrelevancy of the older guardian, but with Caridad's demand for near-complete obedience, little is made known to those close to either dragon. Against expectation, members seem to have little issue with the First Paladin's leading style; Her efficiency functions as a solid trade off for any personal disagreement.

The Seekers of the Sunset End actively attempt to interact with outside groups, mostly in hopes of spreading the doomsday prophecy. This is how most of the non-Nature natives came to join the ranks. This is also how most dragons leave, dragons born into the Seekers or those who stay temporarily find their refuge in frequent trading and education excursions.
