The Wandering Clan
The dragons of this clan are nomadic, in the name of the Windsinger - the wind never stops for long, and thus, neither do they. There is no destination in their journey, only the growing story of what they encounter and who they meet.
While there is a core group of clan members, it is more common for dragons to stay for a time, and then move on, seeking adventures and stories of their own.
Traveling dragons are common, and are gladly welcomed to stay for as long as they like. For as long as they stay, they are protected as fiercely as any other member of the clan, and when they choose to depart, they are sent off with as much love and joy.

When hatchlings are born, they are allowed to choose their own names. Many leave before choosing their name, determined to find it in their travels - this is a respected choice by The Traveling Clan. Those that stay long enough to choose a name tend to give themselves the names of things - things that are important to them, that they identify with, or things they've passed by on their travels. Some name themselves for battle - Brightclaw or Longtooth.
