Behind the Name

Legend tells of a drowned city, crumbling within itself to fall beneath the dark, abysmal waters. The lost city was once flourishing with life: flora and fauna that glowed like the night sky, mortals whose intellect far surpassed the people of their time, and the towering gods and goddesses to whom they worshiped. Asteros was among the countless gods who comprised the ancient pantheon - his dark blue, almost obsidian-black, skin and shimmering white freckles that speckled his entire body matched the night sky over which he held dominion.

This account is dedicated to Asteros, god of the stars and one of the characters from a collaboration project between a friend and I. The Shadow flight seemed to suit him well, the dark setting and glowing foliage of the Tangled Wood almost parallel to the forests of his home and mirroring the night sky.

My plan is to name many, if not all, of my dragons after stars and constellations, in honor of Asteros. Many of my dragons may be unnamed for awhile because I have this unnecessary need to pick "just the right name," but I do plan on naming them all. They may get lore in the long run, but I have no plans of matching their lore to Asteros'. His lore is literally only there to explain the meaning behind my name.

About Me

I'm a rather quiet person, but I like to think I'm pretty friendly, so please feel free to message me if you feel like chatting. ~~Just don't be surprised if it takes me a little while to respond to your message. I am a horrible procrastinator. orz~~

I dabble in different art forms: writing, traditional drawing ~~(I am horrible at digital art)~~, and some graphic design (I created the star divider). I don't have a shop or RP or anything and probably won't ever because I have no real self-confidence ~~(in fact I think the above blurb is a bunch of rubbish)~~ and I care way too much about what other people think. But feel free to ask about any of that if you're interested.

As for Athanasios, in their canon he's actually, well, okay here comes a lore dump

In their world, when humans come too directly in contact with angelic magic, they become warped by it. At some point in history, an angel who was REALLY upset about being exiled took a Warped and used some magic to customize it essentially, and created what's called an Angelhound
Hounds are like, crucibles for angel magic. They're angel eaters.
Athanasios is technically 1/4 hound (mother is 1/2) but it manifested dominant so he's not an angel, but an angel eater! (With so much angst)

Oh man, I have a lot of favorites! My partner and I recently watched Nimona, and the climax made me cry. I'm almost done rewatching the original Teen Titans show (two episodes and a movie left to go!!) and I absolutely adore The Owl House and The Legend of Vox Machina. And I'm excited for the up coming sister series, The Legend of The Mighty Nein! :D

I was planning on a Guardian, because silly me made a nice combo that matched a very pretty festival skin called Undersea stars. It's going to drain my bank though so that's going to be on the backburner for the time being :p

Yep yep! There aren't any white collared shirts with rolled up sleeves that he liked enough, so we had to go with a suit :D a suit with no shirt underneath, because he's Just Like that. I'm glad to see him nearing completion! Now I just gotta get the rest of his boyfriends draconinified (got Blair already, they're on the same page) and he's home free! (Though, I do also have another project for a guy in his universe, Athanasios)
