The Songtree Clan's Lore
After crossing the beautiful, exotic Everbloom Gardens, a mass of trees appears from the horizon - huge, ancient trees with wide trunks and moss growing on their strong branches that can carry an imperial.
One of these trees stands slightly aside from the jungle, basking more in sunlight and pleasant shadows rather than gloom. While not as tall as its companions, it is formed from three intertwining trees which separate at the very top, forming a huge trunk. On the trunk there are natural cave-like formations in the wood that make perfect lair spaces, most likely formed by many generations of dragons long ago. There are also some underground spaces, supported by the thick roots.
Smaller trees grow a distance away from the colossal tree, leaving a nice plain around the trunk. A soft, steady mass of green grass with occasional flowers thrives there, making it soft and pleasant to walk upon. A single stream runs through one of the corners of the field, a soft bubbling sound coming from the crystal-clear water.
The Clan - previously known as Soarsky since they originated from the Windswept Plateaus - wasn't the first ones to inhabit this massive tree.
The Clan quickly settled down, established their own territory and began to learn about their new environment. They hung chimes and bells from the branches to remind themselves of their old home in the Wind territory. In the breeze, a constant orchestra of various sounds comes from the branches, which gave it its name - Songtree.
Yet, the Clan seemed to be tense and watchful, even after finding a good place to call their home.
A large, white imperial with a brown blindfold over her eyes sat on one of the tree's huge roots. Her name was Gil, and she was the High Priestess of the Clan.
She was also partially the reason why the clan had to move.
When Gil was still young, she had grown up in a Plague Clan alongside another imperial called Pascal. They had been best friends, sharing their food and training together - until Pascal met a violent death in the claws of a rival Clan. Horrified, Gil fled into Wind's territory, where she was taken in by the clan's Matriarch with open arms. Time passed. The Clan was happy.
Until one day, Pascal arrived with an army of dead.
Shade-touched, the spirit of the angry dragon had come back from the dead out of spite, capable of unspoken necromantic arts. A battle ensued, where many Gil's new clanmates were lost. Mad with grief, she sacrificed her eyes to Windsinger in exchange for power and managed to allow the Clan to flee. Blind and helpless, Gil could only hope that they could never be found by Pascal and her Clan.
But Pascal would find her, eventually. Her spirit had become so twisted and so malicious it wanted nothing but death and havoc into the world.
However, they were getting stronger again.
They wouldn't run again.
