As you journey through the Gladeveins, a particularly thick patch of trees grabs your attention. As you walk closer, you realize that the entire copse is surrounded by a thick wall of thorns. You turn to leave, but are stopped by the sound of delighted squeaks; perhaps they are the squeaks of hatchlings at play?
Curious, you search for an opening in the wall of thorns. A small beam of light off to your left attracts your attention: there is a small hole in the brambles! As you approach the hole, however, a pair of Guardians descend from the canopy above, their claws poised to strike.
"Stop right there!" one of the Guardians shouts. His movements are somewhat hindered by the Gembond that covers his body, but you can tell by his sheer size that he is not a dragon to be trifled with. The large dragon continues, "This is the home of the Silver Glade Clan. What business do you have here?"
"Oh come now, Galleon," the other Guardian says, her beautiful iridescent blue scales shining in the shafts of light, "This dragon was clearly just curious about our home." She turns toward you and stares at you like she is seeing your innermost self. You shift uncomfortably as she assesses you.
"I believe this explorer will not cause much trouble," the female Guardian says, "Come. If you are as curious as you seem, you may be interested in seeing the rest of our little home."
The male Guardian grunts disapprovingly; clearly he is not as convinced as his female friend. He cooperates nonetheless, and turns toward the wall of thorns. You stare at the pair confused as they intake huge breaths of air. Then, ever so gently, the two breathe a mixture of water vapor and ice crystals onto the thorns. The plants twitch, then obediently slither out of the way to admit the dragons into the copse.
The trees at the edge are thick and tightly spaced, but as you walk you notice that the trees are receding. Suddenly, you realize that you are standing at the edge of a beautiful clearing. The clearing is quite large, and you notice a small stream flows through the southern end. You look up and see that the trees surrounding the clearing bend inward, creating a woven canopy of leaves over most of the area. Near the center you note that there is a strange structure hanging from the canopy. Perhaps it is a nest?
Then you notice them: a mass of fifty or so dragons in the clearing, going about their days. A few hatchlings race by and almost knock you over in their play. You watch them for a few moments before you notice that two adult dragons are walking towards you: a Fae and a Tundra.
"Welcome stranger," the Fae says in a monotone voice, though you notice that her frill is a happy yellow color, "Welcome to our home. Will you be staying here long?" The Tundra begins to sniff at you, a look of confusion on his face. You feel that he is deciding whether you are a threat or not.
"You smell like a stranger," the Tundra says, tilting his head in confusion, "I would like for you to smell like a friend. Please, stay as long as you like." Then the two nod to the Guardians, who promptly fly back the way you came.
"Please, let us show you around," the leafy green Fae says. She beckons you to follow them, and you tentatively do so. You wonder if these dragons are really as nice as they seem, but something tells you there are some things that are being hidden. Some things that they would not want you to see.

I just saw your dragon Jokull. Pretty cool one, and I thought I was the only one with a dragon of that name. ^^ Mine is just written a bit different. ;)
