It is a pretty high requirement, but I assure you that the vines do drop. This might be up for a tweak in required components though.

The aqua and venomscale probably seem to pop up more frequently because there's 5 of each in the system. However, they are unique pieces, in that they cover different areas of the dragon.

I think all doom tertiary colors depends entirely on the color which they are paired with.

I think swamp is the one that's most doomy for me personally. Tough to make it look good, even against similar colors. I think it works pretty well with forest though.

There have been no changes to the breeding system. Here's the percentages:

When you interbreed 2 dragons of different species, this table is used: A chance at a 5th egg is added because you rolled the dice with species outcome.
  • 5 eggs (5%)
  • 4 eggs (10%)
  • 3 eggs (45%)
  • 2 eggs (30%)
  • 1 egg (10%)
If you breed two dragons of the same species, this table is used:
  • 4 eggs (12%)
  • 3 eggs (40%)
  • 2 eggs (38%)
  • 1 egg (10%)
What are the new items?!

We're adding things in as its possible to get them. Like right now no one can gather level the higher skill items until there's been enough time to actually level that high. There's no sense having them in all at once, but as its possible to get them. More joy of discovery this way! :)

If you payed with an echeck instead of your paypal balance or paypal linked bank account, the check can take 3-7 days to clear. As soon as it clears the gems will be delivered.

If you did not pay with an echeck, that is unusual to have a delay. If they don't appear after 24 hours, please use the contact form and we'll get your purchase straightened out.

@Gwennafran You can still sell to other players. Before if you clicked "select all" and "sell" in your hoard, you could vendor your currency... for 0 treasure. We don't think anyone wants to do THAT!

So now it's an unsellable item so there can be no mistakes that way.

@LtHoneybun The pool only pits items of the same star value against themselves. So if a one star item is added to the pool of possibilities, it'll only pop up when a one star stack is RNG'd up. So the one stars are not competing with the familiars and chests. Only against other one-stars. Each tier unlocks items that are worth more food or vendor value, making it incrementally easier to keep your clan fed. :)

Edit: Manticore is a rainbow star item. It only competes against other rainbow stars. None of the new tiers of gathering added trash rainbow-star items. (or actually any rainbow-stars at all...) so there's no new items to compete against a rare familiar of that particular star rating.

Your dragons have grown adept at their tasks, and the gathering cap has been raised to level 25. With this increase there are dozens of new items to be gathered! Clans with skilled gatherers will benefit from the nourishing food and valuable materials to be found.

Training Fields Update
The Training Fields venue has new and mighty opponents for only the bravest of dragons to face. Ember Mice and Glowing Pocket Mice may now be challenged.

Forgotten Cave Skins
The monsters of The Forgotten Cave are now very rarely dropping cave-themed skins. Unlike our holiday skins -which have remain in the coliseum for only a week- these drops are going to remain in the coliseum for the long-haul. Good luck collecting them! Additional Updates & Changes
  • Ongoing improvements and optimizations are continually being made to allow for smoother gameplay in the Coliseum with more participants.
  • An adjustment has been made to holiday currency so that it can no longer be sold from your Hoard.
  • The gathering page of the encyclopedia has been updated with a section on how gathering level affects your gathering turns.

We're glad you like it!

Well, we know everyone wants the new genes too (among other things) but that will not be a part of today's update. I've been asked this several times today, so I thought I'd clarify!

New genes have been much of what our artists have been working on lately, so we're hoping to get them to you as soon as possible. :) Just not today.

@chespin The way gathering works can be a bit confusing, but with each new level of gathering you gain access to a new item(s). These items are worth more food or treasure than items available previously of the same star rating. So the more you gather, the more items you gain access to and your average food and vendor haul will increase.

Edit: Actually, this information is something that should be noted in the gathering portion of the encyclopedia to help avoid confusion. I shall attend to this now.

We were wondering when it would be noticed! Yes, the cap has been raised. MANY new items! The change will be noted in next update. We're still getting all the bits and pieces together.

@AMADEUS, yes, we did say that. That's still the plan. The unbelievable registration window happened and I had to do some shuffling of duties to help the 20,000 new players gained. There will be a WotW this month. :)

Does this person have to be paid instead of a volunteer? I can see why you'd choose not to if you don't have the money to pay them. Or is it that person would need an admin level account and you just can't trust any person that comes up. As in you need Akiri to program a sort of "chute" that approved accents and skins can go through to be simply added by an admin. They would just need to go in every few days or so and click "add all" or something like that.

I hope I didn't confuse you XD If this hurts your brain perhaps Undel or Xhaz can step in lol

@JetBlackSteel, we understand that the current wait time for skins has been exceptionally long, for which we apologize. We are always looking for ways to speed up and improve the submission process, as well as seek extra eyes and hands for the queue. While we know that many of you are eager to help out, the process is quite technical and requires extensive knowledge of our rules and systems, which is something that takes a considerable time to teach. Please know that this is one of the forefront tasks we are actively working on, and for the time being really appreciate everyone's patience (and talent!).
