B I O G R A P H Y
Scintillula is often considered a fleeting phantom, an almost non-present being. She has never left the library since first entering it, and never leaves its darkest corners when there is company. Scintillula, while named after the Latin word for "spark", is hardly that. While intellectually bright, she has no social skills whatsoever and can't organize her thoughts into coherent sentences while speaking. She never has had to do this, however. The only words she really has to say to anyone are "QUIET!" and "Make sure to return that!" Scintillula has a way with the pen and ink. While horrendous with words verbally, she is recognized clan-wide as a brilliant poet and storyteller. Nyctea has even exclaimed that Scintillula's stories paint such a vivid pictures that they could be magicked into real life- a statement that completely blew the Fae away and caused her to retreat to a small nook in the library for two weeks. The fascination so characteristic of Scintillula began when she first arrived at the Nightinguild and discovered the library. The Fae was already literate, but became ever so much better as she devoured every single book on all seventy floors of the library within half a year. She asked Nyctea if she could advise the library- to her great pleasure, the Mirror said yes. Since then, Scintillula hasn't left since. She is responsible for the sparkling cleanliness of the library, as well as the eerie blue light emitted by the glowshroom lamps. Clan legend suggests that the glowshrooms were used to mimic Scintillula's own markings. Instead of turning on the light, Scintillula usually ends up just using her glowing paws to read. As a result, the library is often a little too dark for dragons who aren't from the Shadow flight. Nevertheless, the library is a favorite for many. Who doesn't like reading in the shade? Of course, after realizing the troubles that dragons had with reading in the dark, Scintillula provided many portable glowshroom lamps that could be used to make reading easier in the dark library, so long as the lanterns were returned. On busy days, pulsing blue lamps could be seen throughout the entire library.
