But the hoards came again, larger, larger, till the leaders could stand no more-shutting themselves into a safe house, the only survivors were left to fend for themselves. Weak, starving, and uneducated in battle, the remaining had no choice. But to run. I fled with them, and into the woods we ran, trying to evade an enemy more powerful than our own army. We hid in the woods, in the caves, fleeing the sickness. Fleeing the doom that awaited us, for we all knew our fate was already sealed. So all the wolves kinda got infected (besides the remaining) with this really weird disease that makes them savages. They are visiting the den where they lived before the infection.

Early morning
Vixsus quietly pawed at the fresh, snowy ground. The snow last night was light and puffy, but still made trekking to the place a pain overnight. She glanced around at the miserable scene. She pawed the snow more, only to reveal bloodstains. It had snowed right over the blood. Here was where the savages had struck. She had come to the old den overnight with Lavender and Tessa, on Reds orders, to salvage for any food or supplies. The cave where the main leaders lived was in view. The camp was surrounded by forest, which went on and on and on. Vixsus turned her head to Lavender and Tessa.
"There's blood under the snow, so be careful not to get it on your paws." Blood might attract savages, either a stray one or a whole pack.
[b"Im going to try to head into the cave,"[/b] She said anxiously.
"There might be a savage in there, though," she sniffed the air for a trace of something nearby, but the wind was blowing the wrong way, so she couldn't pick up a scent.

Lavender looked where she stepped so she didn't step in the blood. She sniffed the air and said, "There aren't any savages, but just in case be careful." Then she walked into the cave and a humongous stash of food, including nuts, berries, and dried meat. she found big shells that were used for water and called out to Vixus and Tessa and said, "Guys! Come over here! I found a big stash of food!

Vixsus followed Lavender into the cave. The cave floor was earthy, and didn't have any snow. Vixsus sniffed the air again. She smelled a dead scent. Following it to the back of the cave, she uncovered a patch of snow to reveal a horrifying sight.
A pups mangled body lay in the snow, twisted at odd angles. It was very thin, and its clear blue eyes were still wide open. Vixsus recognized the pup as Arc, the apprentice of another herbalist, Earl. It had obviously broken its bones protecting the stash. Savages were here when the attack happened, but someone had protected the stash. Maybe Earl had. But Earl was nowhere to be found after the attack.
Vixsus sniffed the air again, and this time picked up a fresh scent outside the cave. She followed it, to a lump of snow. She dug, to find an grey she-wolf frozen into the ice, her eyes still moving, her chest still heaving very, very, slowly.

Tessa padded around taking Vixus's warning about the blood. She went around looking for survivors or more savages that might have survived. She smelled something fresh in the air, blood, it smelled fresh too. Tessa followed the scent until she found two savages who, one lying in the snow covered in blood, and one over top sitting there. Tessa brought her guard up trying not to let the savages notice her, she quietly padded over to the taller grasses and watched. The savage that wasn't visibly hurt got up, sniffed around and snarled. Tessa felt a low growl in her throat, her haunched were ready to jump and attack, she remembered as a pup the way her older brother had taught her to pounce, until he died of a savage attack...
She jumped and landed not too far from the savage, she snarled, her teethe barred. The savage was startled but wasn't afraid, it was a male smaller than she. The savage ran towards and tackled Tessa, she winced landing on some sharp rocks. She howled for backup, in the meantime she kicked up with her hind legs trying to kick her opponent off. He wouldn't budge, she snapped at his nose, blood streaking down, the savage winced but got back at her at the neck. Tessa winced and howled for backup once more.

Lavender heard Tess's backup call and told Vixus to take the she-wolf back to the pack. She ran to Tess and pounced on the savage. She bit the savage and knocked him out on a rock. Then she growled at the next and it ran off. Then they both ran back to help Vixus carry the she-wolf back to the pack. Then she realized this was her sister Cloud Dreamer! She told them this was Cloud, her sister who was thought that she was killed by the savages. She told them this and said that we needed to bring her to Red.
