These are the snippets into the lair of Faded Way. Everyday happenings with the dragons and the adventures they have.
It was quiet at first light but as the sun rose above the trees the lair looked in awe as a great hulking imperial came out of the den of sleep. It made them nervous for several dragons had just went into to sleep and none of the dragons outside knew what or how many dragon slept in the great caverns. It was guarded by a giant Guardian female, who was meaner than Stormcatcher.
As the Imperial stood, he blinked several times trying to get used to the sun once more in his eyes. Squinting he looked around and did a great roar that echoed far into the distance.
"Samhain!!!" cried Desideria and Samhain laughed upon seeing the other dragon.
"Desideria! By Earthshaker's beard, how the blazing hells did your pattern change?" He said as he circled around the skydancer who had once been has metallic as he had been. Now his hide had swirls of color and his wings now had a blue tint.
Desideria laughed and shook his head, "Its a long story, but what are you doing up? Morrigan said that nobody was even close to waking up any time soon."
Samhain swiped at his neck with his wing and looked around thoughtfully. He gave a rakish grin when he spotted a pretty skydancer with bright orange plummage. "Who is that beauty?" he breathed and Desideria had to shake his head in exasperation.
"That's Zofia who is ma-" but Desideria cut off as Zofia's mate, Serkai, caught Samhain's appreciative glance and had moved in front of Zofia with a scowl in Samhain's direction, before ushering her away.
Samhain laughed and turned back to Desideria, "He's kind of territorial."
"You have no idea, now what brings you awake?" the skydancer asked and fluttered his wings in agitiation, "And are any of the others going to wake?"
The Imperial looked at Desideria and frowned, "You make that sound like you don't want anyone to wake up?"
Des shuffled his feet and sighed, "I don't."
Sam lowered his head and looked directly into his eyes, "Explain Des, because this doesn't make sense!" he bit out. He had half a mind to go back into the den and wake the whole damned lair to call Desideria out, including the dragon's original mate Anastasi, she'd certainly give him hell for this kind of treason.
Desideria huffed out a breath at the hostility irradiating from Samhain's body, "Follow me and I'll tell you everything you need to know," he said before walking deep into the forest surrounding their lair.
