So, I have a Doctor Strange fandragon off Defender Strange from the Multiverse of Madness, and at first, I thought he was perfect with genes and colors... But now I look at him and think something is missing. So I'm playing with a few scries to see which looks best. Honestly, Petals is probably the best, but gem genes are so hard to save up for.
So which one looks best?

I honestly really like how basic looks. I'm never against leaving something basic lol but I do think python looks good too. The wavy markings makes it look like water ripples to match his secondary as well. [emoji=new friend size=1]

I like the python best, but I also like how basic matches the contour shape really well. Python kind of draws outside those lines.
Lionfish brings too much extra color, in my opinion.

@Llambchop I like both too, but I just feel like something is missing. Maybe it's the apparel pieces I want to get him, or maybe just the fact I changed him from Guardian to Fathom two weeks ago and I'm just not used to his new look.
@Lirikai I think you're right about the lines, which do sort of match his robes. And maybe Lionfish IS a bit much for this.

Out of those, python seems to match the best with the ref! Lionfish does seem to add too much accents, it gets kinda busy too look at.
On the topic of petals, I find swirl is probably closest in terms of accent colour/pattern while not being an instant wallet drainer, might wanna check that out if you haven't already!
Pinstripe looks cool, but it might add a bit too much red,,, Ripple adds some interesting stripes that could mimic the clothing seams,,,,?

Mistyleaf123 Oooh, thank you for the recommendations. Ripple and Swirl both look good... I will have to make some serious considerations here. Swirl does have some nice red accents...
