Its been a long while since King Regnad had any visitors. In fact, he couldn't remember the last time he'd had any. Admittedly, to most, the king was dead. After what could've been an extremely preventable accident his entire endearing, slightly quirky demeanor had changed into that of a tyrant.

Off his rocker, King Regnad now sits on his throne as a madman. His only daughter, Sky, also the only remaining member of his court, tends to him and tries, in vain, to keep him from causing more horrors. There's already a famine ravaging their land done by his own talon. She fears for her father but cannot interfere besides offering rational advice. He's far too powerful, magical amulets decorating his body, wrapped in bloodied bandages from his wounds that never seem to close.
There's no telling what he could do with his power, especially because there's no one left to tell. Any citizens of his kingdom learned long ago that their bumbling, kindly king was no longer in that large, cold, dark castle. It was every dragon for himself now, survive or die. Outliving the king was the only option because attempting to kill him now was a danger that was too great.

However. Even in the overwhelming madness, Sky can't help but see moments of strange clarity in her father, as if two parts of him were fighting for control of one very damaged mind. She can only hope that the visiting leaders might be able to help figure out what to do before her father does anything else.

That's the basis so far!

(Hello! I subbed to it)

It was a long flight before the trio of dragons landed among the castle. A castle of intimidating banners and menace almost. Regulus looked at it calmly. "It would seem our old knowledge about the king is very different from now. The castle is almost ominous and the dragons beyond it are nowhere to be found, as if they fled." He said honestly.

Aster looked at him. "Hush Regulus. He may be more dramatic than the letter said. But there is no telling what awaits." She said honestly. She looked at Ranna and smiled. She ushering her pearlcatcher daugher into the castle.

Regulus looked at the king and his princess on the throne. Alone... chairs of the court empty... though there was a lone skeleton of a dragon in one too. He exhaled a small amount of magic and addressed the king.

"Good day your majesty. It has been some time after i heard about you. I thank you for the invitation to your castle." He said.

(Hi! Yay!)

Regnad lifted his head to the sound of talons on his cold marble floors, as did Skyar Everlark, simply called Sky these days, looking up from her scribblings on her scrolls. Regnad's tail twitched as he looked at Regulus, then Aster, then finally Ranna. From beneath his wraps, small burn scars snaked across his scales, turning the black scales a ghostly sort of white.

His talons clicked against the floor for a moment as he seemed to finally gather his greeting. "Hello, Regulus. I'm so....pleased you took the invitation." he tilted his head to the side as he spoke, much like a raven.

"Sky, Diaval and I have been....expecting you." He motioned at the skeleton, a strange toothy smile stretching across his face, half hidden under the crown he was wearing.

"You have a....lovely family"

He spoke with strange pauses in his sentences, as if his thoughts were stalling and he had to get them started again.

Regulus looked at him. He looked at the talon tapping before the pearlcatcher dragon spoke to him again. He noting his almost predator like behavior, as if studying them or unable to comprehend the three dragons in front of himself. "It was an honor..." He said.

"Thank you for the compliment. It is nice to meet you Sky." He said. He looked at the skeletal dragon a moment, Ranna was nervous as he seemed to address the skeleton as if they were still among the living...

Aster smiled politely. She was quiet as the dragons spoke.

Sky stood and bowed respectfully, her gaze following Regulus's as he looked at the skeleton. Her shiny, bright eyes were filled with a sort of nervousness that couldn't quite be explained. "Welcome to all of you," she greeted them with a smile, bowing again.

"My father and I are grateful to extend talons of peace to our visitors." She adjusted her wings a bit and looked up at Regnad, who had wrapped his tail around the base of her wing to let her know he would speak.

"Skyar and I....would like to welcome you with...a meal." He stood, the gems on his tail making soft clink sounds as he let go of his daughter. He stepped down from his throne and walked down the steps. He was large, or maybe his daughter was abnormally small, but compared to Sky, he was almost two heads taller.

"Skyar. You may escort....them to the dining...room."

Sky nodded politely and walked over to them, seemingly relaxing as soon as she wasn't right next to her father.

"I hope our meeting can bring peace between our clans." He said honestly. He looked at the unusual height of the pearlcatcher and then his daughter. It was strange how the king was larger than the other by so much.

Regulus looked at her and extended a claw to shake her claw politely. Aster smiled at him and then looked at the king stand up. Ranna looked at him too. "Perhaps you'd like to have us dance?" Aster offered politely.

Regulus was curious about this meal. He was admittedly a bit apprehensive about the king.

Sky was maybe a little smaller than average, but it didn't take away from the fact that Regnad was pretty big. She shook Regulus's extended claws and turned to look at her father to see if he would take the offer of a dance after he hummed a response to Regulus's honesty.

"I.....have not met a dancer in a while." He mused aloud. He had a strange buzz in his voice, almost autonomous, but it was most likely due to some kind of damage around his throat. Sky looked at Ranna and her ear twitched a little, it was nice to see another younger pearl catcher.

"Hmmmmm" Regnad mused to himself. he moved his head up and down for a moment, bobbing a little like a bird. "Dinner can be postponed to watch....the dance," he decided,

Regulus looked at the with a genuine smile. He seemed nice, not a king though, he acted differently than a monarch would... more diplomatic almost.

Aster smiled at him and then took Ranna to the center of the throne room. Both beginning to dance elegantly and most fluid in movement with each other, despite no music. They trying their best to impress as they moved in unison despite the size and breed differences. They were smiling despite the creepy castle and the ominous kingdom.

As they danced Ranna posed in front of the king... She looked at him curiously.

Regnad watched, his head didn't move, and if his eyes were following no one could see. He felt compelled by something as they danced....it was fluid. Their unison was eerie almost. As they moved before his eyes and the pearl catcher came to a halt in front of him, he twitched and suddenly found his brain overstimulated.

"Enough," he huffed, rubbing his head to try and appease the faint pounding behind his eyes. Turning away, he left without another word, vanishing down a hall hidden behind a tapestry, his tail lightly bumping against the floor in irritation as he left.

Sky had sat down to watch them dance. Once her father suddenly left, she stood and jumped in place a little. "That was very wonderful!" she praised them with a smile. "I've never seen anyone move like that."

Ranna blushed. "Thank you princess." She said shyly. Aster smiled. "I do hope we didn't annoy the king. Perhaps we can dance again later?" She offered. She looked at the princess very gentle and nice. But she senses that the king was bothered by something during the dance.

Regulus looked at her. "I am glad my family made you happy. They've always been dancers. Even if myself am not." He explained. He looked at the only royal left in the room.
