When I first started I didn’t find much use in them, but hatchling skins then came. Still didn’t get one, but it became more tempting. Then came fathoms. The hatchling pose was my favourite. So what did I do? Get a fathom permabab, obviously. Now I have 8, as well as 3 I’m planning to permababy. Just look at my pfp.

permababs are cute, but they're pretty pricey compared to keeping them as adults and i don't like the fact that you can't put apparel on them :( and the current fest skin/accent pool is very small (umas are automatically out of my budget)
but who knows, maybe one day i'll cave and get a coatl or fathom baby

I've always used the profile section under every dragon to keep a picture of what they looked like as a hatchling, so I've never been tempted to actually make any of my dragons into permababies. But that also means I lose out on the cool permababy accents and skins people have made.

I like permababies, I have at least a few planned in my projects. The biggest downside for me I think is that you can’t dress them. I tend to feel like dragons look kinda… naked? without dressups. But if I feel like the dragon truly looks better as a hatchling, then I don’t mind.
Plus, now with hatchling skins/accents, customization for them has opened up a bit.

I do have one, though, long story. he was the first egg i ever hatched and i sold him, then bought him back years later after he'd already been gened and permababied. he's cute, though. i need to find a skin for him someday.

I don't think I'll ever have more than one of any given breed, but some of the hatchling poses are good enough to justify the slot, especially now that we can accent them.

and i dont mind the dressup, the genes usually make up for it. and now we have skins! so i'm completely fine without accessories.
