@Insani suggested this quite a while ago, but I'd like to voice my support for Gradient stained - perhaps using the same color model as fade/blend.
I feel like having the highlight color on the fore end, fading to the primary color on the tail end, would look splendid.

I want augment for more ancients, maybe all of them even, as it is such a cool gene. More thundercrack would be good too. Also eclipse on moderns. It's not a linebreaking gene, so it's possible.

Something where the opacity varies in different spots, kinda similar idea to piebald paint
Glow: a glowing gene that covers the whole body and glows more in certain areas
Ancient line breakers
Ghostly or ethereal: kinda like jellyfish but covers whole body and has tendrils
Glass chitin: exoskeleton that's transparent or translucent
Something like wraith but transparent or translucent
See through fur or feathers
Waterfall, self explanatory, fancier version of wave crest
Molten like molten metal or lava but translucent
Transparent leaves or crystals (2 different gene ideas)

I know we have a “tiger” and “stripes” gene. I also know we have savana, safari, and okapi…. But since the tert “polka-dot” is a cheetah-spot pattern, how ‘bout “Zebra?” “But we have “thylacine,” we don’t want more stripes…” you might say~ We do… But thylacine does this weird color-bleed thing on most of the dragon breeds that can wear it. >_< So… yeah! “Zebra~”
And sticking with the equine theme… “Dapples.” Not quite spots, not quite speckles. They can be a splatter of color across the rump, shoulders, and cheeks. The tert “ringlets” is probably the closest we have to it now. But it is a mess that my brain can never make sense of. Dapples would be much more fun~ [emoji=familiar heart size=1]
