What are deityspawns?
[columns]
[nextcol]
Mixed breeds, hybrids between the gods and a mortal dragon. They're the result of a bond happening between a deity and a dragon, a gift from the gods onto the world made in the image of their lovers. They have minor differences amongst the other mortals, such as a slightly longer lifespan, features that match their immortal parent, and a stronger affinity for magic.
Deityspawns appeared for the first time roughly 500 years ago, before Varghosian came to the world. They were shunned by the other dragons at first, seen as heathens made by the misuse of power from the gods, their mortal parents treated like traitors to their own kind. Mortals ignored them, and most other deities had disdain for them too.
It all worsened when Varghosian was brought to the world. The only shadowspawn to ever be made. Many deityspawns vanished without a trace, leaving the world with nothing behind them, forgotten about. Some persisted and continued in life, creating new life, a new generation who would have to prove themselves again.
Over the years, dragons grew more and more chill with the deityspawns. They believed that it was fine now, they were far away enough from the gods, no longer had their aura of "supremacy" around them that others pushed onto them. The eldest generation slowly died out, until a new one was formed. And so forth, until we reached the generation of today. It's common to meet a deityspawn who's in the 7th or 8th generation by now, as many years have passed. Many of them dont even really care anymore about the fact they're a deityspawn, having moved on from their ancestry and untethering themself from their deity, living life like anybody else.
There are various ways to refer to a deityspawn. In the most common case, dragons simply refer to them by the element of their immortal ancestor.

[columns]
[nextcol]
Like any bloodline, the deityspawns have generations. A spawn that is 1st gen tends to be near-identical to their mortal parent, unable to inherit most physical aspects from their immortal parent. Sometimes they receive little aspects, such as extra fur, some spikes, a sleeker face, a thicker body. The 1st generation is the most obvious when it comes to looking like a deityspawn. However due to the passage of time, most of the 1st generation deityspawns have passed away.
In most cases, deityspawns will inherit the element of either of their parents. However it is possible for a deityspawn to receive a different element. There isn't really an explanation for this other than "Why not?"
For example:

Both of his parents are from the ice element, but Wyvern is born with a plague element. He is fluffier than other wildclaws, has a longer lifespan and a higher resistance to the cold.

The further the generations go, the less the deityspawn will resemble their immortal parent. A dragon at the 7th or 8th generation will look like a regular dragon, except maybe have very minor abilities such as larger lungs for breathing underwater, or be slightly more resistant to fire.

She's more in tune with the plants around her, able to guess more appropriately when they need care and what kind they need.
