Hello hello, metalhead here! :D Judas Priest, Motley Crue, Warlock, and Ghost are some of my favorite metal bands, among others. Also slowly getting into death metal at the moment— one of my friends took me to a Shadow of Intent and Fleshgod Apocalypse concert last week and I loved it.

Power metal is my thing which isn't always a well-received opinion, but whatever. Longtime fan of it, I recently saw Powerwolf and Unleash the Archers! I used to listen to Rammstein a lot back in the day too, but not so much any more.
I've also been venturing into death metal lately... largely because a venue near me does a lot of death and deathcore shows, and I want to get out of the house more even if it's not my #1 preferred style. I'm learning to appreciate it!

Hey! I’m Ashstream, or Ash.. Hiya!
I'm mostly into power and heavy, although some other stuff is fun too. Looking foward to check out or revisit recommendations from thios thread.
My favourite band is Stratovarius. If you want to check them out, I recommend the album Nemesis to start with. Every song on there is a banger. Although there's lots of great stuff on their other albums too.
The band I'm currently low-key obsessed with is Old Gods of Asgard. Anyone who can immediately recognise that name, I like you, because that means we might have similar tastes not just with music.
Also, I'll recommend everyone to check out Heilung. It's not metal, but it's an experience many metal people can vibe with. Absolutely worth looking into, trust me.

hiii. i mostly listen to metal.
rammstein was my favorite band when i was like 15 lol i still like them a lot but as far as german metal i prefer eisbrecher's style nowadays.
sabaton is my favorite band and was the first band i saw live. :)
i also really like 5fdp. they're prolly my favorite american band; i don't tend to like more than a handful of songs from any one group lol. some others that appear more than once on my playlists are old shinedown, dope, volbeat, demon hunter, and some slipknot.

Not sure if my taste in music is 'hard' enough but these bands are still considered metal/ a subgenre of metal music:
as a german Rammstein and Eisbrecher are a MUST in my playlist.
I also like slipknot, System Of A Down, Disturbed aaaaand
Korn! Korn is and will always be my favorite band. Finally saw them live in august and I'm still blown away by their performance. Seriously I can't shut up about them.
Some that might be lesser known and a bit 'special' but worth checking out in my opinion:
Dir En Grey - japanese metal band. God I loved them as a teen! Saw them live twice. Really cool and interesting sounds.
Rise Of The Northstar - french metal band. if you absolutly hate hip-hop, ignore this band. They do heavy metal but it's mixed with hip-hop.

I’ll back up your non-metal recommendation for Heilung! They’re another that I saw live in the last year and it was an awesome experience, so I agree about the vibe.
(Also Stratovarius is a classic for sure. I think I’ll check out Old Gods of Asgard, since I haven’t heard of them but I already agree with 2/3 of your bands so I might like them too!)

BUT my dad did say that he might take me to it in a couple of years as a graduation present!! i just wish i could go this year because daron malakian and scars on broadway is supposed to be there and iirc this is gonna be one of the first times theyve performed again after the hiatus...... sigh
