IRL things I already enjoy:

Honestly I think the consensus is that I'll eat just about any of the seafood lol I like eating weird fish, eel is literally one of my favorite meats. Most meat I'd probably at least try, though the like, songbirds and parrots and stuff I'm not really sure about, that feels weird. Plants would be 50/50, I like vegetables/grains but I have some weird specific things I don't like. Insects would probably be an all around no, I'm adventurous, yes, but insects feel like a category of thing I shouldn't be eating. I might be willing to try them, but it would be with some trepidation for sure and I don't know if I would end up liking them
I think the food on FR falls into a couple categories of various things I would eat
IRL things I already enjoy:
Moon Jellyfish
Seafood
The moon is full and so is your belly.
24
3

24
3
Oats
Plant
Talon-cut oats are part of a nutritious breakfast.
24
3
Cucumber
Plant
The coolest plant on your plate. (Special thanks to HurricaneWinds!)
65
7

A healthy selection of grains harvested during a particularly bountiful planting season.
25
3
Horn of Plenty
Plant
All autumn feasts look better with one of these- everyone can find something they like! Well, almost everyone.
75
10
Edamame
Plant
A plain food that becomes a terribly addicting snack when salted and lightly fried.
25
3
Goat
Meat
Wears an unamused expression, but could instead wear a tiny sweater. Think about it.
25
3
Quinoa
Plant
Recently, Tundras have started claiming quinoa is full of vitamins, cures disease, and attracts mates. Mirrors are skeptical. (Special thanks to TCA!)
65
8
Hooded Hen
Meat
This here's a nice, I say, a nice specimen. Though, it's got more nerve than a bum tooth.
50
5
Longneck Winter Rations
Plant
These dried oats have been saturated with so much corn syrup that the bar is no longer particularly healthy...
39
4
Sunflower Seeds
Plant
To plant and grow a beautiful flower, or to eat and grow a beautiful coat of scales?
38
4
Dwarf Fawn
Meat
A tiny deer with a large ego. Often grumpy, they can also be sleepy, sneezy, or even bashful. (Special thanks AlagaesiaMeander.)
17
2
Vegetable Oil
Plant
Makes cooked foods even more delicious.
400
20
Dried Jerky

This bag of jerky is weeks old, but still keeps a great taste and texture.
20
2
Centaur Nut Mix

An assortment of harvested nuts, capable of sustaining a warrior's energy for weeks.

42
4
Strawberry
Plant
Fresh cream transforms this treat into an indulgence.
70
8

The practice of attempting to hold a mawful of cinnamon sticks for extended periods of time became strangely popular among juvenile dragons.
58
5
Mallard
Meat
After catching this fowl you realized it was actually rabbit season...
58
5
Red Octopus
Seafood
The name 'Red Octopus' is a bit misleading, as they are known to change color and are rarely red.
50
6
Sour Green Apple
Plant
This apple could have used additional time to ripen.
50
5
Jumbo Shrimp
Seafood
Strong and mysterious on the outside, sweet and tender on the inside; so dreamy!

64
7

Seafood
If one manages to ever catch these speedy creatures, they're in for quite the treat. Purple is the real new food trend.
41
4
Blue Honeycomb
Plant
Coral Carpenter honey solidifies extremely quickly when exposed to warm air. Many crafty dragons will pour the honey into molds as a way of quickly and easily making hard candies.
18
2
Chalcedony Craylet
Seafood
The vibrant exoskeleton of the chalcedony craylet appears almost artificial. After being consumed, flecks of its shell are often used in mosaic patterns, as they retain their brilliance long after the animal's passing.
40
4
Scarlet Mussels
Seafood
Coatls with access to mussels will spend a leisurely day harvesting and cracking the spoils on their tummies. It's adorable- ...unless you're a mollusc.
33
3
Royal Oyster
Seafood
The more pearls these oysters produce, the higher they advance in their incongruous society. This one was a princess, which for some unfathomable reason makes it more tempting to dragons.
62
7
Chewy Tentacle
Seafood
If you swallow a chewy tentacle it stays in your stomach for 7 years. It's true!
42
4
Gradish
Plant
Gradishes are red because they're good for the heart.
55
6
Red Banana
Plant
Only the skin of red banana is truly red. The fruit inside is a dark blue color.
55

65
7
Manyleaves

This lightning-resistant aloe plant clings to the highest points of the skyscraping escarpments ringing the Thunderhead Savanna. It gives the mouth a slight tingle when consumed.
29
3
Ringscale Arowana
Seafood
Prized by fishkeepers, these fish are difficult to keep in a lair that enjoys their seafood.
35
3
Satin Violets
Plant
The petals of this flower are super soft!
17
2
Crimson Rootvine
Plant
Nearly all of this plant grows beneath the ground, save for a few small flowers. Digging it up can be quite a chore.
37
4
Swordfish
Seafood

30
3
Rotala
Plant
This plant is quick to overtake all of the available space in warm, shallow water.
42
4
Wood Shrimp
Seafood
The delicate fans on their front limbs allow this creature to filter food in swift currents.
38

A Spotted Stingray can be as daunting a foe to a Fae dragon as a Mantarune is to a Guardian.
475
18
High-Voltage Almonds
Plant
It just seems like a really bad idea to try and eat these, but don't let common sense stop you.
43
5
Woodland Acorn
Plant
Did you know that if you swallow an acorn whole, a tree will grow in your belly? It's true!
25
3
Dwarf Mushroom
Plant
Eating this mushroom is rumored to make a dragon shrink.
25
3
Sugarmelon
Plant
Though it is technically classified as a fruit, this melon is not considered to be particularly nutritious.
43
5
Golden Rainbow Trout
Seafood
Avaricious dragons are often dismayed that the flash of gold in the water was not what they thought... their disappointment only lasts until lunch time.
60
6
Sour Strawberry
Plant
You probably should have waited a few more days before harvesting this.
70
8
Dark-Tufted Featherduster
Seafood
A snack for the swift, catching these worms before they retreat into their tubes is a talent.
18
2
Miniature Potash Peach
Plant
Plucked from the tree a bit too early, this peach is sour. Unlike the ripened fruit, it is merely warm inside, and can be eaten right away.
23
2

5
Minty Jadevine
Plant
True to its name, this plant's leaves are favored as snacks due to their sweet, cooling taste.

When cooked it vaguely resembles lobster in appearance. When eaten it tastes nothing like lobster.
55
7
Glow Mushroom
Plant
Everything looks strange in the light emitted by this mushroom.
20
2
Charged Duneberry
Plant
This berry glows brightest -and tastes best- just after a storm.
500
15
Manaweed
Plant
While Manaweed supposedly gives Satin Mice their peculiar intellect, it doesn't make dragons any smarter.
20
2
Oh my god I am so morbidly curious what does this taste like:
Dodgy Mushroom
Plant
The gills are white, it has a skirt, and is reddish in color... yet some dragon classified this as edible in a field guide.
20
2
Meaty Cotton Candy
Meat
Meat is a treat!
5
4
Incorporeal Substance
Plant
An oxymoron that nevertheless fills the stomach.
43
5
Amber Algae
Plant
Vegetable pudding!
33
3
Blue Jelly
Plant
This block of jelly takes on the taste and characteristics of whatever it is cooked in.
33
3
1st Anniversary Meat Cake
Meat
First Anniversary Meat Cake. Just repeat those words and think about them for a second. What does that even mean. (Happy 1st Anniversary, Flight Rising!)
500

Meat
The only thing filling your stomach is guilt.

Delicious when cut into thin slices and served raw over a bed of cut carrots. Also delicious without the carrots: Some dragons never eat their veggies!

[item=Lucky Star]- I would totally eat this, they look so soft and satisfying and they'd melt in your melt like Cotton Candy
[item=Tundra Cactus]- I'd eat this, I'd imagine they would thick, hardy, and would very likely have thick sugar rich sap. Imagine cactus flavored syrup!
I'd actually would eat quite a few items!
But IRL pickiness would prevent me from eating almost all the seafood items in the game!
The extremely rare eight leaf Lucky Star is said to bestow good luck for life. Unfortunately, this isn't one.

It may seem odd to find cacti in the tundra, until you consider it's just a colder sort of desert.

I like the challenge people here are doing of trying to find something they think looks tasty in every food type, so here's my rankings.
Insect
[item=Darkwood Titan][item=Teeming Loghive]
This is based on appearances and nothing else, I'd never actually eat a bug because I'm extremely picky and I'd also just feel very bad. But the beetle has always looked like a delicious mocha truffle to me, and the loghive looks like its absolutely stuffed full of honey. I want to go Winnie the Pooh on it.
Meat
[item=Bundle of Haunchmeat][item=Solar Vole][item=Turkey Dinner]
Self-explanatory for two of these, the haunchmeat looks deliciously succulent and I just want to carve it up so bad. The turkey looks perfect and ready to roast, more of a chicken guy but I'm not averse.
And the vole looks like it'd be a crunchy fruit gummy.
Seafood
[item=Bamboo Shrimp][item=Plaguebringer's Delight]
Neither of these are actually edible (though the jury is still out on bamboo shrimp - they're a real variety of shrimp, and looking them up provided only pet care info rather than anything saying you can eat them or how you'd prepare them) but that doesn't mean they don't look extremely edible.
Plant
[item=Amber Algae][item=Blue Honeycomb][item=Butcher's Fig][item=Cursed Garnish][item=Golden Pepper][item=Potato Onion][item=Sunbeam Fig]
Much easier and feels very self-explanatory, they all look gorgeous.
The algae looks like a delicious vanilla or banana pudding, I absolutely do wanna try blue honey because it looks cool, the two figs look beautiful and thus look extremely tasty, the cursed garnish also looks tasty and weird and I just wanna know y'know? The pepper likewise is gorgeous and would be an amazing aesthetic addition to a curry. And potato onion sounds good I love both of those things (though fun fact: there IS a variety of shallot named a potato onion! Which I would also eat I like shallots).
I like the challenge people here are doing of trying to find something they think looks tasty in every food type, so here's my rankings.
Insect
Darkwood Titan
Insect
Often mistaken for small boulders, most dragons overlook the Darkwood Titan as a food source. Manage to bring one home, however, and you may feed a nest of hatchlings for days.
25
3
Teeming Loghive
Insect
You will never find a more fetching hive of thrummin' psylla-fleas.

Meat
Bundle of Haunchmeat
Meat
A successful haul of haunchmeat, ready to be consumed by a hungry clan.
75
10
Solar Vole
Meat
Solar Voles tend to burrow deep in the ground, making them difficult prey to catch. They occasionally resurface to soak in sunlight, giving them a radiant glow.
39
4
Turkey Dinner
Meat
A meal that tastes best when shared with the rest of your clan. Except the plant, insect, and fish-eaters...
42
6
Self-explanatory for two of these, the haunchmeat looks deliciously succulent and I just want to carve it up so bad. The turkey looks perfect and ready to roast, more of a chicken guy but I'm not averse.

Seafood
Bamboo Shrimp
Seafood
Its excellent camouflage allows this shrimp to pass for a leaf when seen from above.
38
4
Plaguebringer's Delight
Seafood
Unlike its tastier equivalent, this lobster carries various dragon-specific diseases within its body to protect it from becoming a fancy dinner.
39
4

4
Potato Onion
Plant
