For the last 4 years, I've been trying to find good gene combos for my progens, to no avail. They both don't match, and their colours are too hard for me to work with. It's especially bad with my randomized, Galtero:

I can see why they've been giving you trouble! After some noodling around, I came up with these two scries that I think work nicely for them.
Crysocolla/Bee/Spines looks fabulous on Kira! White can be tricky because so many of the genes are heavy on the grey, but Crysocolla has pale blue accents. There are a ton of secondary genes that work well on her, but Bee is my favorite!

As for Galtero, he was super tricky. His secondary is so bright that it's difficult to make it work with his more muted primary/tert. However, I like this Plague-y scry for him, Skink/Daub/Peacock. It tones down the brightness of the secondary, and brings in some of the red of his tert.
If this doesn't work for you, though, there's nothing wrong with scattering! It can be an expensive journey, but I've had a few different scatter projects and have been very after 1-4 scatters.

Going full on mossy, earthy boi for Galtero with Python/Freckle/Koi and Dark eyes to make them blend a little better
