[/columns] ----- [img]https://i.imgur.com/empEbcI.jpeg[/img] This here is the Bogong moth. It's native to southeastern Australia and is culturally significant to the First Nations peoples. These moths migrate between the warm, arid lowlands of QLD, NSW and SA to the cold Australian Alps further down south, twice a year (that's pretty frequent!).

Lisanthus has a vested interest in what's eating the leaves, and what's pollinating the gardens. [/columns] Digger bees are native to where I live, and are solitary bees that nest in holes underground.

Don't know if I'll have time to mess around in an art program and put up a proper visual, but I have one bingo diagonally from the top left to the bottom right.

Cicadas are actually my favorite insect, so here's a fact: their famous 'screaming' is produced by vibrating a special structure called tymbals. Female cicadas lack this structure, so the cicadas you easily hear are male. I'm saying Ischnomantis here is the best insect catcher in the clan, since she's a trainer for Harpy's Roost and gets plenty of insects there. Do you see her? No? Well, neither do the insects! (She's also featured in the IRL scav hunt). Her name is Candypopbud, and she loves eating insects more than studying them, tho her mate tries to encourage her to open her curiosity a bit more... Aaand I'll be uncreative here and say that I love butterflies! But they really are special to me cause I try to care for them as they overwinter. I specifically care for eastern black swallowtails, since they lay their eggs on parsley, which is easily obtainable. [center][img]https://th.bing.com/th/id/OIP.CKtk_s7D0sY6myraJHS1owHaF5?w=222&h=180&c=7&r=0&o=5&pid=1.7.png[/img][/center] The fun fact is that if a caterpillar goes to overwinter in its chrysalis, it goes into its liquified state of development and stays there until it senses a change in the weather. In the meantime, it also produces its own antifreeze so as to protect itself during hibernation! And with that, here's my completed bingo card! My favorite insect is a tie between the ladybug and the roly-poly! I'm braver now, but they were the only insects I wasn't afraid of when I was younger. [rule] GoldLeaf is our clan's best insect hunter. He flies into the sun which blinds pretty much every living creature, and then he swoops down and grabs those buggies by the mouthful.
