i feel bad about pinging when i'm not hatching an egg and it's already been a month but. i just wanted to let you guys know i'll be taking a hiatus from this for a bit.
we're taking one of my cats to the vet today, and i don't really have much faith that she will be coming back home with us. and i just. i'm going to need some time to grieve.

she came home with me. but i'm still going through with the hiatus because i don't know how much time she has. the vet's suspicions were correct and her kidneys are failing, but for now she still wants to eat, she still wants to try. and the vet wants to give her that chance. if she thought she was ready and it wasn't worth waiting, i would not have come home with her today. but i did.
so for now, she is still here and she is still fighting. but a lot of my time is going to go to helping her and keeping her happy and comfortable until it's time to say goodbye.
i want to share her with you guys though because she's a very special little girl and i think more people should know her before she leaves. her name is bridget, but we all call her bridgey.

it only gave me a few more hours with her. we just let her go. i really have no idea when i'll be back to this. i'm going to need a lot of time to grieve.
