"yumemiushi" is a pun on the japanese words "umiushi" (sea slug) and "yumemiru" (to dream) [emoji=new friend size=1] i own a few of these toys IRL myself, so one day i had the idea of making a YCH based on it... and after making some for my friends as a test run i found it really fun + even if these are probably pretty niche i've received a good amount of interest so here i am lol[emoji=coatl tongue size=1]

oh, whoops! i guess i did link the same image, my bad! here's the actual link to his artfight page! there's definitely a bit more about him on the artfight page i linked ^^ and thank you for your interest in him! the characters you linked are all so cool, i'll definitely try and pick one to draw in exchange :]

as for any extra details that could help for inspiration:

• the eyeball he wears around his neck is very important to him, it's sort of where shark resides -- perhaps there could be an eyeball pattern on the body, or even worn as a necklace? or perhaps the tail could incorporate the eyeball somehow? (i think of the example you have with the flowers on the body of the sea slug)
• i associate him with certain sea creatures; things like sharks, octopi, and jellyfish! idk if these are sort of things that could help, but mentioning just in case.
• i also associate eldritch, ghost, and ghastly imagery with him (mainly due to his connection with shark) -- for more specific eldritch vibes, you could take a look at Bloodborne's Moon Presence!
• shark is the eldritch entity that essentially haunts (and sometimes possesses him), and she is one of the driving factors of why he can glow that teal colour seen on his ref sheet -- going off of the last point, maybe there could be an "eldritch" element to the design? maybe there could be tentacles extending out of the body at some parts, sort of like evidence of shark's presence? (i see the example you have with the mushrooms to be kinda what i was thinking, except instead of mushrooms it's ghastly tentacles)
• some evidence of shark's influence/presence/possession is akin to ghastly flame and wispy shapes (in teal or light blue colours) -- maybe you could have ghastly or wispy patterns along the main body? or even have a ghastly glow emitting off the body?

i hope those can help (and are understandable, sorry for so many words haha), and those are just some of my ideas, so no pressure in using them! just feel free to consider them! but if i had to pick my faves out of the bunch, i think the eyeball pattern + a ghastly glow or the emitting tentacles idea to be interesting :D (and if you need any more details, lmk!)
