Baldwin used to be a Pearlcatcher in the earlier days of the site before Bogsneaks were introduced!

You can see that he still has his pearl from when he was a Pearlcatcher on the shelf when you create new items.

Right before Bogsneaks were introduced, he had a days-long gradual transformation where he basically Animorphed his way into his current breed. It was neat!
