Obelisks are melee fighters, but also if you wish,you can change any dragon to melee or mage if you aply these stones to them, so that means you can have a melee fighter Skydancer, or a mage Guardian, etc
You can usually find those stones for very cheap in the Battle section of the marketplace

I should probably take both.
I do have a full team and 1 extra. Might as well get partners for my single and maybe I'll actually play her in the coliseum
