[size=4][b]EDIT:[/b] After the problem has been resolved, I realize that this avatar problem was the result of a known bug that I reference below. I failed to realize that @/edification had rearranged their [i]dragons[/i], not their tabs, which is actual solution to the known problem, and thought it was a lot more mysterious than it actually is.
Still, the fact that the exact same bug [i]also[/i] scrambles the order of "Change Avatar" dragons is news to me, and I find that just as interesting! I'll leave the rest intact for posterity.[/size]
While I'm not a dev or bug-fixer, I have to say this bug is very interesting. I've never seen anything like it, nobody else has reported anything like it thus far, and I'm quite curious as to how this happened. Testing for myself, I'm using Firefox, and Change Avatar is using the lair order, so it's not universal.
I can find [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/search/forums?forum=bug&term=avatar+order][u]a few similar reports[/u][/url] from over the years, but many of them pre-date the current lair coding and only occurred on certain pages. Some issues listed the dragons by age, rather than lair order, but a quick glance at your screenshots vs. the actual dragons tells me this isn't the case.
You may know that there's a [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/bug/2627746/1#post_2627746][u]known bug[/u][/url] where your dragons' arrow buttons will take you to a seemingly random dragon, rather than the one directly next to them. [s]Rearranging and saving is supposed to be the solution, but in your case it only scrambled them up more, which I find absolutely fascinating.[/s]
[size=4][b]EDIT:[/b] Silly me! I forgot that the answer is to rearrange [i]tabs,[/i] not dragons, so the Change Avatar problem is just an unfamiliar quirk of a years-old bug. This post could have been a lot shorter, but live and learn![/size]
[b]Out of curiosity,[/b] what happens when you skim through your dragons with the arrow buttons on their pages? Are they in the correct order, or are they randomly chosen? Is this somehow an odd expansion of that bug?
Also, when you said you tried both browsers and cleared your cache, am I reading correctly that the issue persisted on [i]both [/i]browsers, before [i]and [/i]after clearing [i]both [/i]caches? I can't tell which browser(s) your screenshots were taken on, so I don't know if there were any difference.
If my reading is correct, and you encountered the same problem either way, that tells us the issue seems to persist regardless of browser. This could mean the problem might come from your device or its update version, or a unique a glitch localized to your account. Heck, maybe you can try a third browser to see if that's the charm?
I personally have no idea what could be causing this, and if you've tried all the recommended troubleshooting steps (clear cache, different browser, different device if possible) with no dice, we'll have to wait and see if the staff take notice. Players can only suggest possible answers or troubleshooting steps, and I'm afraid I'm out of both.
It doesn't seem harmful, but I'm deathly curious as to how your dragons got so scrambled. Be sure to update this thread if you get any new issues or information relating to Change Avatar or your dragon lair!

Thank you for the coding tip, I wasn't sure what to do bk of the number of screenshots.
If I am understanding correctly, if I go to Overture and click the right arrow it should take me to Helenus because they are next in my lair order? But it takes me to Rumour, who I have under another tab (Gargoyles & Bats). You have had an interesting idea, so I have now tried both the arrows and the avatar list on my phone (with duckduckgo) with the same results. I usually play on my windows 10 desktop.
